Anarchy to Monarchy

Earlier to the arrival of different types of bureaucracies and government systems in this world the world was divided into kingdoms which were ruled by different individual leaders. The ruler could either be a king or a queen. Different names were attributed to this ruler in different parts of the world. Every ruler was succeeded by his/her heir to the throne. It used to be a family affair of who would rule the kingdom and it was considered as the right that’s received in the blood directly from the God. In fact, the Monarch was considered as equivalent to the God. Such provinces which had a single ruler called as a Monarch ruling his subjects were known to follow the monarchy system of governance. Democracy or communism was not heard of in those days. Irrespective of whether the Monarch was good or bad everything in the state happened as per his orders and regulations. He was solely responsible for keeping up the well-being of his society. In case of battles or wars or unexpected death of the Monarch the next heir used to take the throne to make sure that there is always an authority that is ruling over the kingdom. In case of those situations when there would be no heir to take the Monarch’s position and the existing Monarch was dead there aroused the situation of Anarchy. Anarchy is a state of disorder due to absence or non-recognition of authority or other controlling systems. As there was no single authority to take care of social harmony or justice evil people used to take advantage of such situations and loot the others. The neighbouring Monarchs saw this as the right time to launch their attack on the civilians and destroy the kingdom to conquer it. Absence of Monarchy used to give rise to such an Anarchy that would eventually destroy the existing civilization itself.

A leader is one who leads oneself and others just follow him. Running a kingdom or a state or a province or a country requires a leader to run it. If the leader is so mighty to be a Monarch to run an entire empire successfully well, then, definitely he must be planning and managing his time perfectly well in order to take care of every aspect of the kingdom really well. Not all of us might be such Monarchs to rule an entire state but each one of us is a Monarch of our own lives. We might not have the insurmountable responsibilities of running a big kingdom consisting of thousands of people and numerous challenges to deal with but each one of us have our own self to take care of. A Monarch might plan the expansion of his kingdom while each one of us needs to plan the growth of our education and career. A Monarch might plan projects to improve the lives of his subjects while we need to plan on how to increase our knowledge and wisdom and develop our skills and talents. A Monarch might plan on how to train his army to defend the country against external attacks and for launching war campaigns while we need to train ourselves both mentally and physically for self-defense and to face unexpected challenges. A Monarch might get busy planning the annual grand festival of his kingdom to entertain his people while each one of us also need to plan on how we would celebrate the special occasions of our lives.

With anarchy in place none of the above-mentioned things can happen in the kingdom. It’s a state of disorder where anything can happen and there is no one to stop the injustice caused to anyone. People suffer as they have no authority to go and seek help from. There is no punishment for criminals as there is no law and order system controller at all. Same shall become the case in our lives when we lose the authority over the time in our life. Losing authority over time means when we are unsure about what we are doing and its deadline. This is the state of Anarchy in our lives. You can find a lot of people around you living such lives. They are either moving through their work slowly or are spending away time as nothing is assigned to them or because they have finished their previous assignment. There are many such individuals who don’t plan what to do next. They just follow a routine of life of waking up in the morning, going to study place or work place because it has got fixed timings and passing time through the day with ongoing processes just waiting for the day to end and reach back their beds to sleep. Such people just wander through life as they don’t affix any goals for their lives. They have dreams but never make an action plan to achieve them within a prescribed time. Such people have differentiation between busy and free time. Their description of free time is the time when they don’t have any work. Only a person who hasn’t set high aspirations in life can get such free time. These are the facets of anarchy that result in a mediocre lifestyle which is not mediocre just in terms of money but mediocre in terms of zeal, happiness, fame, success and all other positive aspects of life.

If you have gone through or even felt any of the states spoken above then it’s time to make the shift from Anarchy to Monarchy. You have to bring back the ruler in you who shall decide the priorities of your life, plan your days, weeks, months and years, gather back your strengths and talents and make you work hard to achieve your goals and targets. Everyone has a Monarch inside them. The more respect you adore him with the better he shall plan and manage your time and help you lead a successful life. You should follow his orders once he has charted out the plan irrespective of what state of mind you’re in. If you disobey his plan he shall subside from his position automatically and Anarchy sets in your life and we better know the sad state of Anarchy in our lives. You become what you plan to become. You can plan voluntarily when you give the reigns of your life in the hands of the Monarch inside you else the environment around you has the capacity to make you feel that you are right by going as per the plan set by it which might not be what you want in your life. If you plan your next one year of life with complete clarity then you are on your way to achieve what you have planned in a year of time. If you have planned the next one month then you know what you are set on for next month. If you have planned next one week then you’re clear about what to do in next 7 days. If you have at least planned for next one day then the Monarch is alive in you for next 24 hours to make sure that you use those hours rightly well. Your plan-span determines the lifespan of the Monarch in you. The kingdom is in under proper governance as long as the Monarch is on the throne. Likewise your life is under your control as long as you know what to do next in the prescribed amount of time. So, plan your time in your life so well that Anarchy shall never surface and Monarchy shall always rule your life towards glory.

Trust and belief

Every new seed turns into a sapling with a dream to evolve into a tree with the belief that it will match the sun’s eyes in the morning and the trust that sun won’t deceive from rising the next morning. Not just the plant, every living being on this planet goes to sleep with the belief that it will witness the time after sleep and the trust that the surrounding environment won’t eat it up while asleep. Life itself stands on the two wheels namely trust and belief. Without these two nothing is possible to accomplish in this world.

In the modern day world, there have been a lot of examples wherein the trust and belief of people have been taken advantage of and people have been cheated and betrayed very badly. As a result, people have lost hopes on words like trust or belief. Man has become the biggest enemy of man himself. Due to the innumerable instances of having been the victim of such emotional betrayals, people have started eyeing everyone with disbelief and distrust. It takes ages together to earn the trust and belief of people. Unfortunately there is no other better way to work and rock in life. A group of people have to trust each other and believe in each other’s integrity to work together towards massive goals and visions. Nonetheless, it’s even important to evaluate the people on whom we entrust our beliefs. Doubt and deceit are the best ways to win the competition but not to build a team. In a competition only one person wins but in a clear-hearted communication the entire team wins. Never is an individual a successful person (though only one face represents success on most of the occasions), it’s always a team that flourishes in success or perishes in failure.
By trusting none we don’t even open an opportunity for others to prove their integrity and austerity. Hence there is no probability of achieving anything called success than a mere routine life filled with notions and presumptions. The world has to move towards a better future and for that, we have to unite together trusting and believing each other. No wonder that life will show its dark colours at times but we need to ensure to toughen our evaluation process with every darker shade that blinds our eyes and visualize the brighter side of life. What we visualize is what will materialize.

How far can you plan?

Planning is an essential asset that is required for every person on this planet today in this fast progressing world. So how far can one plan is a question of interest. Generally people have short term, mid term and long term plans. These plans vary based on the time required to accomplish the short term, mid term and long term goals. However when a person is involved in planning, it is not just for what length of time is the plan made which is important but how detailed the plan is, is also very important. So when I ask 'how far can you plan?', I refer to both the length and depth of planning.

Everyone has to do something or the other to pass time. Some might work while some might play while others might just rest. The human mind is so well tuned to continuous activity that it keeps asking for what is the next task. As a result everyone of us has some idea about what to do next. This is where we can differentiate between A stars and rest of them. How well and far planned is your next activity determines your course of life. People who are in pursuit of their visions, goals and dreams generally are aware about all the minutest details of their plan and also have a rough picture of the next plan such that it progresses towards accomplishment of their visions. They even chart out a time plan so as to complete the different steps of the plan. The rest might just have an idea on what to do next and might think about its execution only during run time. Unfortunately such people end up with reasons and excuses more than results. They shall have no idea about what is supposed to be done after that activity. This is where we take our time, resources and life for granted.

Whenever you are into an activity you must be aware about at least 5-10 next steps as to how you will grow and master that activity and also what you would be achieving at each step. Sometimes people jump into work out of curiosity or temporary motivation without understanding the long-term goal of that work. When their immediate targets are reached, they find themselves clueless about how to continue further, whether to continue further or change. Hence whenever you're planning to jump into something try to make a plan which has depth as well as longevity. You can share your opinions on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

What will others think about me?

"Sabse bada rog, kya kahenge log". This is a transliteration of a Hindi statement which means that the biggest disease is 'what will others say?". It inertly indicates the worry about what others will say about me. I had always thought that this was a very simple and well-known topic and hence not necessary for me to address. But I find that each one I come across is suffering from this disease and sometimes even I tend to forget this saying. The best reinforcement is by sharing.

Man is a social animal. As a result of all other homo-sapiens surrounding us we are answerable to lot of them for our words and actions. The worst part is when we need to even answer the strangers about things completely unrelated to them. So many people suffer from the pain of worrying as to what the other person might be thinking and saying about them. This worry doesn't have any logical reasoning because it is just made up in one's own mind by a mere assumption without any confirmation from the other person whether s/he actually is thinking about him/her in the way s/he imagined. The person is really not sure if the other person spoke the way s/he has imagined him/her to have spoken. We interpret gestures with different meanings at such worry times and reaffirm our nonsensical made-up thoughts to deepen the pain further. If it really mattered to both about what the other person thought or said about you, s/he will share it with you directly and the matter can be resolved. If the other person has not spoken to you directly about what s/he is thinking or saying about you then it's none of your business to worry about that.

"An idle mind is devil's workshop" was a previous slogan. Today's slogan is 'an idle mind is devil's paradise'. All these thoughts about other people come to our mind only when it is not generating thoughts about our work. So either there is a scarcity of work or goals. So the moment you think about what others will say or think about you, you can be sure that you have to once again revise and reinforce your goals. I hope you liked this blog. Cardinal rules of life

Life is a set of limited number of days blessed upon us by God without mentioning the upper limit. What we do out of this is completely left to us. As days pass on many of us look back at our past, some with grief, some with regret while a few with satisfaction. Some with grief because they couldn't do all that they wanted to, some with regret because they didn't do all that they wanted to and some with satisfaction because they could a bit of all that they decided to. All that you must do shall form the cardinal rules of life.

Time just escapes at its own pace and doesn't wait for us to take any action. It's left upon us to run along with it to make things fructify. The reason that many don't achieve all that they want is not that they didn't want to. Simple and the silliest reason is that people tend to forget what they wanted to do. People remember those work that is enforced by others and constantly reminded of or those work which can satisfy their immediate necessities. After about one or two decades they end up just regretting for having lost all the time to make any difference at all. So it's very important for us to divide the work towards our goals and dreams into daily activities. All such daily activities that shall take you towards what you want out of life shall be entitled with certain must-to-do rules and they shall be called as cardinal rules of life. "I must workout in the gym everyday for 90 minutes to have a healthy and fit body", "I must write a blog everyday to develop myself into an author". These are examples of some simple cardinal rules that I make for myself.

Make sure that your cardinal rules are a combination of both your work and target. The moment you read your cardinal rule, it must remind you about your goal as well as the work that you must do to attain the same. This is one of the practical ideas that I designed for myself for a better productive time usage. Do let me know if it helps you as well on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

What? Why? How?

The three simple question words that rule our life every moment are 'What', 'Why' and 'How'. Everyone who is born on this earth has to die one or the other day. There is this small span of time that we live on this earth between our birth and death which we call as life. One of the famous statements running around all social networking sites today is 'stop existing, start living because life is once'. What is the difference between living and existing in a life? Probably when you take control of what's happening in your life it's called living and when your surroundings direct the path of your living it's called existing is what I interpret the earlier statement as.

What?
What are the dreams that you have dreamt so far? What is that you want out of life? If you can answer these two simple questions 33.33% of your life is solved. Unfortunately in today's world people are not even clear as to what they want. Without knowing what they want, they are sad that they are not getting what they want. Clarity of definition of goals, dreams, desires and visions is the first step of life. Many try to skip this step and hence end up failing and falling because the steps of life are not simple steps of concrete that you can jump over. Each and every step of life is there for a reason which cannot be skipped or jumped over. If you can clearly ask and answer yourself as to all that that you want and write them down, it will be the best help that you can serve yourself.

Why?The degree of motivation behind any work depends on the degree of happiness and satisfaction that the result of the work can bring you. Only when you are clear with what you will be getting out of working for something will you work towards it strongly. So the second very important question is 'Why you want what you want?' If you can chart out all the real reasons behind your necessity or desire and draft them against every item on your 'what-I-want-list', then this will perfectly answer the strength of WHY behind every WANT of yours which will solve next 33.33% of your life. Stronger the Why, better are the chances of accomplishing because better will be the prospects of one working towards achieving.

How?
This is the only question that no one needs to answer to other or to the self. Probably this is the only question that gets answered automatically in the process of answering the first two questions What and Why. For everything in this world there is a particular set of algorithmic steps that take us towards completing the task to get the reward. This process gets known in the process of research and search for answers to the first two questions. Also the answer to How is always specific and never generic which will complete hundred percent of your life.

I hope that I have answered few questions of yours, hence I ask you to answer your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Until you achieve

Life is a struggle in pursuit of what we desire to achieve. Expectations keep building, efforts keep increasing until we reach the destination destined for us. In this process of relentless working, the goal seems distant though we inch towards it step by step because we aren't sure as to how it feels of having achieved it until we do it.

Be it a problem or a challenge or a milestone, each one of them has a definite algorithm and a defined time interval associated with it for anyone to accomplish it. The understanding of the degree of this definition or the definiteness varies between individuals of various calibre. Massive experience backed up by amass of knowledge are the two essentials that can make possible the understanding more clear. While building the knowledge base and filling the experience bag, we walk towards our goals in the darkness of uncertainty with a torch of hope holding the arm of belief. Hurdles appear in varied sizes and various forms at different time intervals to test us as well as to toughen us. There is a fear encovered with disbelief that creeps through our nerves in such occasions of failures when we disagree to rise up and walk further. Unfortunately many end their journeys in such scenarios. Only those special souls who keep fuelling the inner lamp of self-belief and confidence oxygenated by the Universe's blessings make it through the tunnel of hardships to the throne of success. One fact is sure-shot with each one of you who traverses a similar path and that is, you are in the state of wilderness until you achieve it and realise as to what it takes to achieve only after you achieve it. Such is the maze of God!

Many a times man is in the delusion that he knows the solution for a problem at hand but there is always this probability of the solution not working that adds the situation with more entropy. We have to accept this but keep working towards our goals. The feeling of accomplishment and the steps to achievement can be described and explained verbally a million times but you won't be able to taste an ounce of it until you achieve it on your own.
No doubt that I expect your sincere feedback on

No short-cuts then easier-cuts

'There are no short-cuts to success' is one of the most common heard adage from majority of the people. Hurdles and challenges are the components that exist by default in our journey towards success. Many of them try to look out for short-cuts and end up in long hours to come out of those short-cuts to the main roads to reach success. Then what are these new cuts, the easier-cuts?

Today, I was suppose to reach my office from my home using my bike. Yesterday I had taken the normal route via main road and it had taken almost fifty minutes to reach the office due to traffic jam. So today I took a different route avoiding main roads as much as possible and I was able to reach my office within a matter of fifteen minutes. This taught me a lesson. I hadn't travelled lesser distance on either of the days. I had travelled the same distance but the time taken and the petrol spent were different in amounts on both occasions. I already had the experience of traffic jam on the earlier route. Hence I took a new route which had meagre traffic the next time. Once we are experienced at solving problems, we can solve the same repeating problems again. Right? Why do you want to face the same problems again? Just avoid them friend! Move onto a new route with less problems when the same route can lead you to the same destination.

Ultimately at the end of the day reaching our destination is our purpose. Life always will bestow upon us the experience and wisdom needed to reach our goals and visions. There is no point in searching for shortcuts for the same. Probably you can find and use the easier-cuts once you have seen the harder ones which is called usage of experience.

I have shared my experience with you friends, curious enough to read your reviews on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

The 1 degree difference

Have you played golf? If not have you seen people playing golf? The golf ball is a hard white one which is kept on the ground and the player hits it hard with his golf bat. The ball travels through the air to reach the target hole. In this process if you can trace the path of the ball you can have an arc. When the same shot is repeated by the player if the ball rises at a different angle from the last trial, you can clearly have another arc traced in the air. Just imagine that this difference in the angle between first and second trials can completely change the destinations that the ball reaches. Probably if you have played angry birds you can find this difference but I took the example of golf here because it travels a lot of distance. Our life also is a long journey in itself.

When we are having a destination or a goal in our mind and we work towards it, it is obvious that we come across a lot of challenges and problems. No doubt that we have to deal with each one of them and reach our destination. But are we really travelling towards the destination that we want to reach? If the golf player was an ace player he would have hit the ball keeping the target in the mind. On the other hand if he was an amateur he would have just striked the ball and the ball would have found its destination. Something similar happens with most of us. We are unaware about the clarity of our goals and are just going through life. As a result of this amateurish behaviour we end up reaching wrong destinations or I can say that we don't end up accomplishing our goals. If one can be clearly aware of the goal of his/her life then he/she can take up everyday of life and prioritize only that path which would lead him/her to the target that's set in the mind. We know that when the goal is different the problems that come are also different. So just by choosing the right goal that we intend to reach we can clearly select the problems that we need to face.

When the golf player plays his strikes a difference of just 1 degree can completely change the targets that the ball reaches. In the same way our small difference in action can completely change the goals that we reach in our lives. How well we can define and describe our goals determines the course of action that we will take. Beware and recheck your goals once again else you might be ending up in the wrong place just because of a one degree difference.

Clarity, Definition, Transparency

When you are travelling along a highway to a far off distance its so important to have a clear idea of the path that you will traverse and also the transparency of the glass so that you can have a clear vision of the road ahead. Likewise in life its very important that we should be aware about how clear and well-defined our goals, dreams and visions are. If the driver doesn't know the exact destination and the exact path to reach the destination but only knows an approximation of where the destination is and a rough plan of road to reach the destination, even then the driver can find a route and reach the destination also but the extra time and energy spent in due course will be an extra expenditure. This extra can be small or big depending upon the lack of clarity and definition. However small it is, it is definitely going to cost the driver.

Everyone of us are sailing through the happenings of life day by day with some plan in mind. Some of them have just handed over the control to the circumstances around them and are under the misconception that fate will take care of them. I feel really sorry for such people. I would like to quote a very famous quote of Sri. Dhiru Bhai Ambani here which goes like this - "If you don't work to build your dreams, others will use you to build their's". Proabably this is the case with most of the people in today's world. That is why it is utmost essential for one to know the clear direction along which he/she wants to take his/her life in. Most of us have some plan or vision in our mind towards which we struggle day in and day out. But I want to stress upon the point about how clear and well-defined this goal is set in the mind. How clear are we about the path that will lead us to the dream in our minds? How transparent is the glass of imagination in our mind about our future? are some of the questions that I want my dear reader to think about and ponder over for an answer.

Let me make it very clear dear friends that we have a life of fixed time limit and we don't have eternal time to experiment and traverse every other path to reach our goal. Every extra minute spent and every extra thought invested on a disorganised plan is a second and a thought energy lost which could help us reach our goal earlier with an organised plan. A clearly defined vision and perfect structured plan of work can help us really save lots of time and mental energy and help us accomplish more and more. Start defining your goal and plan for future right now........

Everyone's making noise

You step outside your house and you start hearing the honking horns, shouting vegetable vendors, running mill, chatter boxes on the pedestal and loads of other sources of noise. The tap-tap sound of plastic balls, never ending barking of the street dogs, sound waves travelling from different vocal chords and loud speakers just jam our hearing system every moment. There's so much of noise around due to more of unwanted reasons than wanted ones. All these noise enter our brain and misdirect the nerve impulses' direction of travel. The blood rushes through the veins and probably gets jammed without knowing where further to travel because of this sound pollution. Noticing all these I can't stop myself from saying 'Everyone's making noise'.

Amidst the clutter of distorted sounds do we have enough control to concentrate on the things that we are supposed to. When we plan we plan the plan so well in silence without any disturbance that we give the necessary importance to every detail of the plan but the moment we get out into the chaotic world all our planned stuff gets filtered. I sometimes keep wondering why is there no filter for our senses. Just if we could filter what content we would like to hear, what we would like to see, what we would like to smell, what we would like to feel and further. May be talking and tasting are the only aspects over which we can have some sort of control, not the complete control because our eyes and nose taste the food through the appearance and smell before our tongue can taste it. There is just too much of distortion and disorganization in things around us that we get distracted from the path we would have set for ourselves. We forget our life affairs in between the current affairs, we misunderstand our goals living amidst so many fools, we neglect the essentials watching others' pontentials, we ignore our own dreams among the worldly sreams. Its time for us to wake up from the sleep we are living everyday counting on others more than on us.

FOCUS and REINFORCEMENTS are the two keys which will unlock the unperturbed path to our success. You might have heard a zillion times that 'Where Focus goes, energy flows'. There can't be a simpler statement than this. You need to focus on what you want to do and accomplish. We have to accept that we are human beings and have limited memory and concentration. Everytime we lose our focus from our goals we need to reinforce back what we had decided to do and reorient ourselves in doing them again with full zeal. Write down your dreams and goals and focus your complete energy on achieving them. Reinforce in yourself everyday the pleasures associated with achieving those dreams of yours because the moment you let lose of yourself you are sure to be submerged under the ocean of confusions and commotions because 'Remember! everyone's making noise'.

I would love to read through your complaints and compliments on the blog on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

I might never succeed

"What a pessimistic attitude to begin with!" Might be you are thinking this after just reading the title of the blog. There is a big boulder of optimism behind this which I am going to reveal in a couple of time units. Today everyone of us are living in a competitive fast moving world where you take a nap for a minute and the world would have progressed ten steps far. More than living a life we are busy completing the syllabus of life as we do for exams. There are certain goals which we need to accomplish and unless that's done there is no peace on the mind or happiness in the heart. We are so busy seeing the mountain top that we can't even smell the mesmerizing fragrance of the roses along the path that we are treading.

You might have got a hint by now I hope. I am talking about this moment, the present. Are you reading this blog just to make sure you complete it within couple of time units because you have your next meeting lined up or are you actually reading this sentence? Frankly speaking I don't know. Sometimes the case is that not even you know what you're actually doing because the eye is fixed upon the small goal post forgetting the large grass field where you are actually playing. Well! I am not against any principle of goal setting. Its very important the we need to have goals in life. Its very important that we need to be focused on our goals every moment. Its very important that we shouldn't get distracted while pursuing our goals. But its also important to enjoy the ride until you reach the still-waters. You reach your goal for a moment but you would have travelled to reach your goal for a lifetime sometimes. What is the point in struggling through a decade just to be happy for a second!

God never gave us goals, we created them for ourselves for our own reasons. God always bestowed an entire life upon us to live through it. Sometimes we are not even sure if all the struggle will be worth it because life doesn't come with a fixed expiry date, The Law of Uncertainty, you see. I am not even sure if anyone will read my blogs but I enjoy writing them one after the other, line after the other, word after the other because I ENJOY writing them. I consider myself lucky if you are reading this blog. Lets savour the beauty of the valleys while trekking up the mountain to reach the top. Lets enjoy the warmth of the waters while swimming to reach the shore. Lets relish the taste of the food before gulping it down the throat. Lets enjoy the present moment which we are living and learning from it.

I might never succeed in conquering all my goals but I will surely extract every juice of happiness that the path to success can offer me. Kya patha Kal Ho Na Ho! If you also feel the same feel free to post on
