Far-fetched dreams

Everyone has dreams. Everyone wants to live a life that's filled with luxury and harmony. Yet, not everyone is able to live one such life. Having the best state of life in terms of health, wealth, people around and status in the society is a dream that every soul aspires to enjoy. Achieving all of these is definitely not a very easy task. One has to struggle through the climbing process to reach heights in life and challenge the inconsequential side-effects of his/her own acts to achieve all these. The best sculpt body, abundance of wealth, name and fame take not just few days or weeks or months; they take years of dedicated hard work and commitment to accomplish. Hence they become far-fetched dreams of life for many.

People are often used to quick results in life. 2 minute noodles, fast food restaurants are some of the simple examples to state that people don't have the patience to have what they want. They are in a hurry to have food, travel and even to sleep. Big dreams always demand high tenure of time to result in reality. Since they yield only after sufficient long amount of time people lose the passion for achieving those. The motivation to sustain the interest goes low day by day as the time to accomplish the dream seems really too far to be true. Lack of motivation is not the only factor. When the dreams become so big that they need a lot of time to materialise in our lives, people also start tending to doubt whether the dreams will really convert into reality after all the hard work or not. This lack of belief in one's own efforts shows sufficient number of examples around who tried achieving the same dreams but failed miserably. The non-guarantee of what might come up in the future drives the focus of people away from their dreams, and thus many of their dreams become far-fetched. The moment people have thrown the dream into the far-fetched ocean, it's difficult to bring them back and believe that those dreams are achievable once again in life. Temporary failures to accomplish small dreams also push the belief away from us that we will be able to achieve the bigger ones. As a result, many of the dreams become far-fetched dreams of our lives.

Sacrificing one's own dreams is just not the loss of that single person. All of us together form this society that surrounds all of us and each one of us cast our influence on the lives that breathe in our environment. The moment we categorize some of our visions as far-fetched ones, we attribute the same to similar dreams of others around us. In a way, we are discouraging the person next to us, also, from dreaming big in life. Just because we couldn't focus and believe we bring down others beliefs too and ultimately slower the civilization progress. If we can bring back our far-fetched dreams on our to-do list and dedicated daily efforts to accomplish, then, not just we will accomplish them but we shall also be an inspiration to million others to launch back their far-fetched dreams into existence and help thousands of others to aim for such massive achievements of life.

Know Understand Realise Practise

Talking about different lessons of leadership or success, I have met a lot of people ranging from kindergarten kids to sales heads, marketing managers, CEOs of many companies and heads of big organizations. People from all these strata of age, work and status know about the same old proverbs that have been ruling ages together. Nowadays students also have such 'Thoughts for the Day' at their fingertips as they need to present them in their morning assembly. When such a lesson is repeated many people don't pay much heed to it because they feel that they already know it. They even underestimate the value of a person who shares a common lesson because they feel that even s/he is sharing the same thing that they already know. Friends! Knowing and practising are entirely two different aspects amongst humans.

All of us know that an atom bomb explodes but not all of us understand how it does so. Not all of are aware about the chemical reactions that take place. Not all of us know how to make one such atom bomb. Likewise knowing a lesson is just like merely knowing the name of a person, but you don't know the complete person's personality. It takes conversation or sufficient research to understand little bit about the person. Likewise in-depth understanding of any lesson also requires quite a good amount of reading. More than understanding how true the lesson is, it's very important to realise how it can bring about changes in your life at present. There is no point in learning it if you are not using it. Nevertheless after understanding and realising how well your life can change if the lesson is implemented, you have to take that initiative to inculcate the lesson as a part of your daily life in every aspect. Only then can the lesson also yield the expected results. You can go and ask any successful person about their message to people. Their answer shall consist of just one lesson that they have strictly followed all through their lives, which has bestowed them with the fruits for all their investment of time, energy and efforts.

One of the most profound examples that I heard some time back was that no matter how old you grow, you shall always drink water to quench your thirst. You might have cool drinks, milk, tea, coffee, carbonated drinks or fruit juices also, but ultimately, all of them have water as their raw material during preparation. We drink the same old colourless, odourless and tasteless water to quench our thirst. So, the same old lessons can solve every problem of ours and help us achieve what we aim at. Let's learn those few powerful principles of life, understand their meaning with the highest depth (depth of understanding shall deepen with more of experience resulting from more of action taken), realise their importance in our lives and practise them on a regular basis to convert all our visions into reality.

Trust and belief

Every new seed turns into a sapling with a dream to evolve into a tree with the belief that it will match the sun’s eyes in the morning and the trust that sun won’t deceive from rising the next morning. Not just the plant, every living being on this planet goes to sleep with the belief that it will witness the time after sleep and the trust that the surrounding environment won’t eat it up while asleep. Life itself stands on the two wheels namely trust and belief. Without these two nothing is possible to accomplish in this world.

In the modern day world, there have been a lot of examples wherein the trust and belief of people have been taken advantage of and people have been cheated and betrayed very badly. As a result, people have lost hopes on words like trust or belief. Man has become the biggest enemy of man himself. Due to the innumerable instances of having been the victim of such emotional betrayals, people have started eyeing everyone with disbelief and distrust. It takes ages together to earn the trust and belief of people. Unfortunately there is no other better way to work and rock in life. A group of people have to trust each other and believe in each other’s integrity to work together towards massive goals and visions. Nonetheless, it’s even important to evaluate the people on whom we entrust our beliefs. Doubt and deceit are the best ways to win the competition but not to build a team. In a competition only one person wins but in a clear-hearted communication the entire team wins. Never is an individual a successful person (though only one face represents success on most of the occasions), it’s always a team that flourishes in success or perishes in failure.
By trusting none we don’t even open an opportunity for others to prove their integrity and austerity. Hence there is no probability of achieving anything called success than a mere routine life filled with notions and presumptions. The world has to move towards a better future and for that, we have to unite together trusting and believing each other. No wonder that life will show its dark colours at times but we need to ensure to toughen our evaluation process with every darker shade that blinds our eyes and visualize the brighter side of life. What we visualize is what will materialize.

How far can you plan?

Planning is an essential asset that is required for every person on this planet today in this fast progressing world. So how far can one plan is a question of interest. Generally people have short term, mid term and long term plans. These plans vary based on the time required to accomplish the short term, mid term and long term goals. However when a person is involved in planning, it is not just for what length of time is the plan made which is important but how detailed the plan is, is also very important. So when I ask 'how far can you plan?', I refer to both the length and depth of planning.

Everyone has to do something or the other to pass time. Some might work while some might play while others might just rest. The human mind is so well tuned to continuous activity that it keeps asking for what is the next task. As a result everyone of us has some idea about what to do next. This is where we can differentiate between A stars and rest of them. How well and far planned is your next activity determines your course of life. People who are in pursuit of their visions, goals and dreams generally are aware about all the minutest details of their plan and also have a rough picture of the next plan such that it progresses towards accomplishment of their visions. They even chart out a time plan so as to complete the different steps of the plan. The rest might just have an idea on what to do next and might think about its execution only during run time. Unfortunately such people end up with reasons and excuses more than results. They shall have no idea about what is supposed to be done after that activity. This is where we take our time, resources and life for granted.

Whenever you are into an activity you must be aware about at least 5-10 next steps as to how you will grow and master that activity and also what you would be achieving at each step. Sometimes people jump into work out of curiosity or temporary motivation without understanding the long-term goal of that work. When their immediate targets are reached, they find themselves clueless about how to continue further, whether to continue further or change. Hence whenever you're planning to jump into something try to make a plan which has depth as well as longevity. You can share your opinions on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

What? Why? How?

The three simple question words that rule our life every moment are 'What', 'Why' and 'How'. Everyone who is born on this earth has to die one or the other day. There is this small span of time that we live on this earth between our birth and death which we call as life. One of the famous statements running around all social networking sites today is 'stop existing, start living because life is once'. What is the difference between living and existing in a life? Probably when you take control of what's happening in your life it's called living and when your surroundings direct the path of your living it's called existing is what I interpret the earlier statement as.

What?
What are the dreams that you have dreamt so far? What is that you want out of life? If you can answer these two simple questions 33.33% of your life is solved. Unfortunately in today's world people are not even clear as to what they want. Without knowing what they want, they are sad that they are not getting what they want. Clarity of definition of goals, dreams, desires and visions is the first step of life. Many try to skip this step and hence end up failing and falling because the steps of life are not simple steps of concrete that you can jump over. Each and every step of life is there for a reason which cannot be skipped or jumped over. If you can clearly ask and answer yourself as to all that that you want and write them down, it will be the best help that you can serve yourself.

Why?The degree of motivation behind any work depends on the degree of happiness and satisfaction that the result of the work can bring you. Only when you are clear with what you will be getting out of working for something will you work towards it strongly. So the second very important question is 'Why you want what you want?' If you can chart out all the real reasons behind your necessity or desire and draft them against every item on your 'what-I-want-list', then this will perfectly answer the strength of WHY behind every WANT of yours which will solve next 33.33% of your life. Stronger the Why, better are the chances of accomplishing because better will be the prospects of one working towards achieving.

How?
This is the only question that no one needs to answer to other or to the self. Probably this is the only question that gets answered automatically in the process of answering the first two questions What and Why. For everything in this world there is a particular set of algorithmic steps that take us towards completing the task to get the reward. This process gets known in the process of research and search for answers to the first two questions. Also the answer to How is always specific and never generic which will complete hundred percent of your life.

I hope that I have answered few questions of yours, hence I ask you to answer your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

No short-cuts then easier-cuts

'There are no short-cuts to success' is one of the most common heard adage from majority of the people. Hurdles and challenges are the components that exist by default in our journey towards success. Many of them try to look out for short-cuts and end up in long hours to come out of those short-cuts to the main roads to reach success. Then what are these new cuts, the easier-cuts?

Today, I was suppose to reach my office from my home using my bike. Yesterday I had taken the normal route via main road and it had taken almost fifty minutes to reach the office due to traffic jam. So today I took a different route avoiding main roads as much as possible and I was able to reach my office within a matter of fifteen minutes. This taught me a lesson. I hadn't travelled lesser distance on either of the days. I had travelled the same distance but the time taken and the petrol spent were different in amounts on both occasions. I already had the experience of traffic jam on the earlier route. Hence I took a new route which had meagre traffic the next time. Once we are experienced at solving problems, we can solve the same repeating problems again. Right? Why do you want to face the same problems again? Just avoid them friend! Move onto a new route with less problems when the same route can lead you to the same destination.

Ultimately at the end of the day reaching our destination is our purpose. Life always will bestow upon us the experience and wisdom needed to reach our goals and visions. There is no point in searching for shortcuts for the same. Probably you can find and use the easier-cuts once you have seen the harder ones which is called usage of experience.

I have shared my experience with you friends, curious enough to read your reviews on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Clarity, Definition, Transparency

When you are travelling along a highway to a far off distance its so important to have a clear idea of the path that you will traverse and also the transparency of the glass so that you can have a clear vision of the road ahead. Likewise in life its very important that we should be aware about how clear and well-defined our goals, dreams and visions are. If the driver doesn't know the exact destination and the exact path to reach the destination but only knows an approximation of where the destination is and a rough plan of road to reach the destination, even then the driver can find a route and reach the destination also but the extra time and energy spent in due course will be an extra expenditure. This extra can be small or big depending upon the lack of clarity and definition. However small it is, it is definitely going to cost the driver.

Everyone of us are sailing through the happenings of life day by day with some plan in mind. Some of them have just handed over the control to the circumstances around them and are under the misconception that fate will take care of them. I feel really sorry for such people. I would like to quote a very famous quote of Sri. Dhiru Bhai Ambani here which goes like this - "If you don't work to build your dreams, others will use you to build their's". Proabably this is the case with most of the people in today's world. That is why it is utmost essential for one to know the clear direction along which he/she wants to take his/her life in. Most of us have some plan or vision in our mind towards which we struggle day in and day out. But I want to stress upon the point about how clear and well-defined this goal is set in the mind. How clear are we about the path that will lead us to the dream in our minds? How transparent is the glass of imagination in our mind about our future? are some of the questions that I want my dear reader to think about and ponder over for an answer.

Let me make it very clear dear friends that we have a life of fixed time limit and we don't have eternal time to experiment and traverse every other path to reach our goal. Every extra minute spent and every extra thought invested on a disorganised plan is a second and a thought energy lost which could help us reach our goal earlier with an organised plan. A clearly defined vision and perfect structured plan of work can help us really save lots of time and mental energy and help us accomplish more and more. Start defining your goal and plan for future right now........

Answers to my questions

Everyone of us have lot of questions about life and the world around us. We seldom dare to ask anyone these questions most of the times because we ourselves are not quite sure about our questions. All of us are flowing in the current set ages ago. Certain patterns, certain customs are just imposed upon us and we don't dare to question any. Also there are few subjects that we want to learn about but we aren't sure about whom to ask those questions. Even I was swimming in this ocean of questions and doubts about living and the way of living and am still conitnuing but in due process I was fortunate enough to have some really high-level discussions with highly wise people and was able to get few answers for my questions. As Robin Sharma says 'When the student is ready, the teacher appears', the same happened with me. I will be on one such fortunate trip again by tomorrow night where I'll be getting lot of confusions and questions cleared by my mentor but before that I would like to share with you some of the answers that satisfied my questions.

Q. Why is it necessary to have dreams to buy vehicles, ornaments and houses?
A. We can work only for a limited age. As we get old we won't have enough strength to work and earn income. So we need to build sources that can yield income in our old days. Renting a house can help us serving as a source of income in the later stages of life.

Q. What is a vision and who is a visionary?
A. A vision encompasses for masses. For example: there might be just one new coffee shop started by a person but if he is a visionary he will have a vision to have thousands of coffee shops all over the world. A visionary will always think and plan of expanding anything that has started so that it can serve large masses of people.

Q. What is spirituality and how can one become spiritual?
A. Spirituality is all about how much you can understand yourself. It's about how you can empathize with anyone around you. You would have reached the highest state of spirituality when you can enjoy in the joy of others and when you can feel the sadness to the same extent as that of the victim.

Q. Though people have big dreams in the beginning, why do they give up but do not persist on achieving them?
A. People want results quickly. They get disheartened when their expectations are not met with the real results after their initial efforts. They are not satisfied with the way dream comes into reality. They aren't ready to accept that they need to work for a long time to achieve big goals and when the result happens in a much smaller size they give up without continuing to build upon it to make it bigger.

Q. What is the level of purity of thoughts?
A. A pure thought can be as pure as a rain drop. Still the rain that rains through the impure polluted environment gets polluted and can result in acid rain causing lot of harm to the animalkind but just think about those rain drops that fall over a greenery or a forest or on top of the mountians. Its the purest form of water and that is the level of purity that should be associated with our thoughts.

I have represented very few discussions in the above scenarios. I still have lot of questions for which I am searching for answers. Even if you have questions like these please forward them to me. If I can answer them I will try my best to provide the best answer else I will make sure to find the answers to them. Life is all about exploring and sharing and we don't have lot of lifetime to learn everything ourselves. Hence take the help of mentors and wise people to learn the answers soon and to grow through life faster.

ALL Alone

Before I start off with this blog let me make one thing very clear. You might feel that I am way too pessimistic while you are reading this blog or I have completely lost hopes on all the people around me. Trust me, this blog has been churning waves inside me from a very long time but I couldn't put it on paper or blog because I, myself din't believe it enough. But after going through series of the same lessons repeatedly finally this blog comes out live in front of you through my very own experience.

You were born alone in this world. Even if you were born as one of the twins or triplets your birth was independent of that of the other's. Except for those rare siamese twins you don't share your body with anyone. I want to drive in a point that you were born ALONE, strictly ALL Alone. No one accompanies you during your process of birth. Sameways the death, when a person dies he dies alone. Even in case of a mishappening every soul that leaves a human body has an independent death path. No one else will go through the death at the same time in the same way you will go through whenever it occurs. You die ALL Alone. At the time of the two most important instances of our life called birth and death we are all alone. There will be no one else who will tread the same path along anyone of us. People feel that between this birth and death they are sharing their lives with everyone and vice-versa and are not alone. But let me tell you that you live your life also ALL Alone.

Get serious pal! Every moment of life that you breathe you do it ALL Alone. You might be sharing your food, costume, room, books, ideas, thoughts etc with your friends, family,
colleagues, strangers etc. So you might be feeling that you are not at all lonely but let me remind you that you surely don't express whatever you feel and think with the people around you. You keep almost 90% of the true brain generated thoughts and heart generated feelings within yourself throughout your life. When this is the case when people around you know only 10% of you where is the question of the so called true social life? It is the misconception that has been built over thousands of years. Everyone walks around with the shield of the self and what you see of people is just the upper crispy crust. What lies beneath  the shield of self-protection is the core with which you live your entire life ALL alone.

With this being the case why do you have to wait for people to come and support you? No one will ever be able to understand your deep inner cravings inspite of you explaining them several hundred times. No one can ever feel what you feel with the same intensity no matter how much they tell that they can empathize because he/she can empathize only at that moment of conversation neither before nor after that. You have to go through every fight of your life ALL Alone. Infact I don't hesitate to tell you that even your parents are not spared by this wonderful miraculous creation of barrier between souls. Realize soon enough that you will be waiting until your death in vain if you are expecting that someone will come to fulfil your wishes, achieve your dreams and accomplish your visions. It's not going to happen my dear friend. Take charge of your life ALL Alone. You might falter many times but be happy that you will be ALL Alone whether you win or lose. Life is just the battle between your efforts and your expectations. You will have to think ALL Alone, you will have to plan ALL Alone, you will have to act ALL Alone to accomplish whatever you want to. You might still feel that we can do all these along with a team. Let me challenge you that not even a single person in your team can see the common dream the way you visualise it. When no 2 of you can even imagine or visualise the same do you still feel you are going to accomplish the same? A big NO! It's your life boss. Take it up ALL Alone.

Only saviour that's going to accompany you will be your Law of Attraction which will make the entire universe conspire to bring to you what you sternly believe in but you will have to implement the Law of Attraction also ALL Alone. I wouldn't take leave before reminding you that even while reading this blog you were reading ALL Alone. Your friend might be reading the same along with you but definitely you were ALL Alone while living through this blog.

Really curious to know your comments and feelings about this blog on is.mohanbn@gmail.com
