The race is still on

No one knows exactly who came first on this earth. Excavations have proved that dinosaurs existed much before the homo-sapiens came into existence. Probably there are many more species which haven't been excavated yet, which might have been the predecessors of dinosaurs also. Jurassic park movie series has been a great showcase about the fight between dinosaurs just like how million other movies have showcased the fight between humans. The fight is always to show that one is better than the other just to achieve the desired objective. Fights shall go on because the race is still on.

The fights that I referred in the earlier part of the blog post was just not the fight that happens amongst people. It also refers to the internal fight that goes on inside us on a daily basis. The fight between the lazy and busy self in us, the fight between the visionary and missionary in us, the fight between different priorities of life, the fight between the passion and profession in our lives so on and so forth are all different shades of fights that exist in our lives. All these fights employ two sides which are vying to race one beyond the other. Every fight won moves one side ahead of the other. More the steps a particular side takes forward, the race gets extended by those many steps. People are trying to break each others records on a daily basis. There is stiff competition which is only increasing the speed of this race among individuals to prove who is better than the other. Someone will always be better at all points of time and some few will always try to beat him and become better at all points of time. Hence the race shall never end and be still on for ages to come and go.

Temporary failures appear as dead ends of life for those who fail to try again to win back what they lost. They forget to see beyond the obstacle that the race field is far and wide touching the horizon. All that we have to understand is that race is something which shall only travel with time as eternal as time is and never reach the destiny called end. Race is always on and it allows participants who are ousted out also to get back to competition and hasten the spirit.

Every act counts

"Once upon a time there was a small kid by name Monu in a village who started going to school at the age of 5. Since there was no transport facility the small child had to walk for a mile to the school and walk back the same distance. Everyday Ramu's dad used to give one rupee to Monu and allowed him to spend or save it as he wished. Once, on the way back to home Monu found a balloon seller and was very fascinated by seeing the colourful balloons. He bought 2 balloons with one rupee which he had got in the morning from his father. He tried to blow the balloons but they were tough for the small kid. Then Monu saw a tap nearby and an idea clicked in his mind. He kept the balloons under the tap water and the water filled the balloons making them big. Monu was very happy and started carrying the balloons all the way home.

This continued for a couple of days and one day a small thorn pricked one of the balloons and the water started sprinkling out of the holes. This was even more fascinating to see. Hence Monu picked up the thorn and made few more holes on both the balloons. By the time he would reach home all water would be sprinkled out of the balloons on both sides of the way Monu had walked. This went on for a few months and Monu observed something really unexpected and a marvellous change. He noticed that on both sides of the path he used to walk daily there were small plants growing day by day and small buds had started to take birth. Monu was filled with joy. Hence Monu decided to continue the same act of his everyday. Within next few months Monu could see a stretch of beautiful flowers all along the path.

One fine day in the morning Monu's dad asked Monu as to what he had done with all the one rupees he had got for so many months. Monu replied that he had spent it all. Father was very unhappy that Monu hadn't learnt the lesson of saving money and had spent all of it. He scolded Monu and warned him that he wouldn't get any money from then on. Monu was afraid to speak seeing his father in such anger and went to school silently. But that evening he didn't have the money to buy balloons to water the flowers. He felt really hurt seeing the flowers on his way back home that he couldn't water them. Then Monu gained his courage back and went to his dad to take him out for a walk. Father was still angry with Monu but obliged to the kid's request. Monu took his dad near the rows of flowered plants and explained how he had spent all the one rupees. Father was in tears seeing the scene and hugged Monu and kissed him. Father realised that Monu hadn't spent the money, infact he had invested it. He also informed Monu that they would get almost hundred times more money by selling those flowers than what Monu had spent on them."

Ramu's dad wasn't aware what would it yield by giving just one rupee to a 5 year old kid apart from just teaching financial education. Neither Monu was aware what his play with balloons and water would result in apart from his playing pleasrure. Both of them did their acts just naturally as normal human beings. But the acts of both were so powerful that they showered the blessings of God on Ramu's family. Similarly friends! even in our lives we keep engaging ourselves in so many acitvities for different reasons. Just keep doing all of them with your full heart. You never know as to which act of yours will yield the treasure of life for you. Hence I proclaim that 'every act counts'.
I have done my little act of writing my small story on this blog. I hope to see your feedback as a small return act on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Clarity, Definition, Transparency

When you are travelling along a highway to a far off distance its so important to have a clear idea of the path that you will traverse and also the transparency of the glass so that you can have a clear vision of the road ahead. Likewise in life its very important that we should be aware about how clear and well-defined our goals, dreams and visions are. If the driver doesn't know the exact destination and the exact path to reach the destination but only knows an approximation of where the destination is and a rough plan of road to reach the destination, even then the driver can find a route and reach the destination also but the extra time and energy spent in due course will be an extra expenditure. This extra can be small or big depending upon the lack of clarity and definition. However small it is, it is definitely going to cost the driver.

Everyone of us are sailing through the happenings of life day by day with some plan in mind. Some of them have just handed over the control to the circumstances around them and are under the misconception that fate will take care of them. I feel really sorry for such people. I would like to quote a very famous quote of Sri. Dhiru Bhai Ambani here which goes like this - "If you don't work to build your dreams, others will use you to build their's". Proabably this is the case with most of the people in today's world. That is why it is utmost essential for one to know the clear direction along which he/she wants to take his/her life in. Most of us have some plan or vision in our mind towards which we struggle day in and day out. But I want to stress upon the point about how clear and well-defined this goal is set in the mind. How clear are we about the path that will lead us to the dream in our minds? How transparent is the glass of imagination in our mind about our future? are some of the questions that I want my dear reader to think about and ponder over for an answer.

Let me make it very clear dear friends that we have a life of fixed time limit and we don't have eternal time to experiment and traverse every other path to reach our goal. Every extra minute spent and every extra thought invested on a disorganised plan is a second and a thought energy lost which could help us reach our goal earlier with an organised plan. A clearly defined vision and perfect structured plan of work can help us really save lots of time and mental energy and help us accomplish more and more. Start defining your goal and plan for future right now........
