Anarchy to Monarchy

Earlier to the arrival of different types of bureaucracies and government systems in this world the world was divided into kingdoms which were ruled by different individual leaders. The ruler could either be a king or a queen. Different names were attributed to this ruler in different parts of the world. Every ruler was succeeded by his/her heir to the throne. It used to be a family affair of who would rule the kingdom and it was considered as the right that’s received in the blood directly from the God. In fact, the Monarch was considered as equivalent to the God. Such provinces which had a single ruler called as a Monarch ruling his subjects were known to follow the monarchy system of governance. Democracy or communism was not heard of in those days. Irrespective of whether the Monarch was good or bad everything in the state happened as per his orders and regulations. He was solely responsible for keeping up the well-being of his society. In case of battles or wars or unexpected death of the Monarch the next heir used to take the throne to make sure that there is always an authority that is ruling over the kingdom. In case of those situations when there would be no heir to take the Monarch’s position and the existing Monarch was dead there aroused the situation of Anarchy. Anarchy is a state of disorder due to absence or non-recognition of authority or other controlling systems. As there was no single authority to take care of social harmony or justice evil people used to take advantage of such situations and loot the others. The neighbouring Monarchs saw this as the right time to launch their attack on the civilians and destroy the kingdom to conquer it. Absence of Monarchy used to give rise to such an Anarchy that would eventually destroy the existing civilization itself.

A leader is one who leads oneself and others just follow him. Running a kingdom or a state or a province or a country requires a leader to run it. If the leader is so mighty to be a Monarch to run an entire empire successfully well, then, definitely he must be planning and managing his time perfectly well in order to take care of every aspect of the kingdom really well. Not all of us might be such Monarchs to rule an entire state but each one of us is a Monarch of our own lives. We might not have the insurmountable responsibilities of running a big kingdom consisting of thousands of people and numerous challenges to deal with but each one of us have our own self to take care of. A Monarch might plan the expansion of his kingdom while each one of us needs to plan the growth of our education and career. A Monarch might plan projects to improve the lives of his subjects while we need to plan on how to increase our knowledge and wisdom and develop our skills and talents. A Monarch might plan on how to train his army to defend the country against external attacks and for launching war campaigns while we need to train ourselves both mentally and physically for self-defense and to face unexpected challenges. A Monarch might get busy planning the annual grand festival of his kingdom to entertain his people while each one of us also need to plan on how we would celebrate the special occasions of our lives.

With anarchy in place none of the above-mentioned things can happen in the kingdom. It’s a state of disorder where anything can happen and there is no one to stop the injustice caused to anyone. People suffer as they have no authority to go and seek help from. There is no punishment for criminals as there is no law and order system controller at all. Same shall become the case in our lives when we lose the authority over the time in our life. Losing authority over time means when we are unsure about what we are doing and its deadline. This is the state of Anarchy in our lives. You can find a lot of people around you living such lives. They are either moving through their work slowly or are spending away time as nothing is assigned to them or because they have finished their previous assignment. There are many such individuals who don’t plan what to do next. They just follow a routine of life of waking up in the morning, going to study place or work place because it has got fixed timings and passing time through the day with ongoing processes just waiting for the day to end and reach back their beds to sleep. Such people just wander through life as they don’t affix any goals for their lives. They have dreams but never make an action plan to achieve them within a prescribed time. Such people have differentiation between busy and free time. Their description of free time is the time when they don’t have any work. Only a person who hasn’t set high aspirations in life can get such free time. These are the facets of anarchy that result in a mediocre lifestyle which is not mediocre just in terms of money but mediocre in terms of zeal, happiness, fame, success and all other positive aspects of life.

If you have gone through or even felt any of the states spoken above then it’s time to make the shift from Anarchy to Monarchy. You have to bring back the ruler in you who shall decide the priorities of your life, plan your days, weeks, months and years, gather back your strengths and talents and make you work hard to achieve your goals and targets. Everyone has a Monarch inside them. The more respect you adore him with the better he shall plan and manage your time and help you lead a successful life. You should follow his orders once he has charted out the plan irrespective of what state of mind you’re in. If you disobey his plan he shall subside from his position automatically and Anarchy sets in your life and we better know the sad state of Anarchy in our lives. You become what you plan to become. You can plan voluntarily when you give the reigns of your life in the hands of the Monarch inside you else the environment around you has the capacity to make you feel that you are right by going as per the plan set by it which might not be what you want in your life. If you plan your next one year of life with complete clarity then you are on your way to achieve what you have planned in a year of time. If you have planned the next one month then you know what you are set on for next month. If you have planned next one week then you’re clear about what to do in next 7 days. If you have at least planned for next one day then the Monarch is alive in you for next 24 hours to make sure that you use those hours rightly well. Your plan-span determines the lifespan of the Monarch in you. The kingdom is in under proper governance as long as the Monarch is on the throne. Likewise your life is under your control as long as you know what to do next in the prescribed amount of time. So, plan your time in your life so well that Anarchy shall never surface and Monarchy shall always rule your life towards glory.

Ask GOOGLE uncle

It was almost more than three years back when I joined freshly as a software engineer at Oracle, I was exposed to the industry tools of which I had no idea of. I was put into the unlimited ocean of DBMS to play with the tools available. Whatever I tried on the tool, it shot up an error which prohibited me from proceeding further. I had to get out of my seat every 5 minutes to ask my senior what to do next. That's when he told me that there was an uncle whom I should ask all my queries to and that uncle was GOOGLE.

Google is a company founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. It provides us the best search engine on internet. People have got so used to Google that it has become analogous to internet today. The moment someone is asked to search through internet, s/he goes to Google. It's highly difficult to even imagine a world without Google today, which has been helping us find any kind of information at our fingertips. In spite so much of popularity of Google, still some are suffering not knowing as to how to use Google properly to resolve their queries. Google itself provides a lot of educational tutorials to learn on how to use Google better. Some of the best industry experts have written innumerable blogs on how to use Google to get exactly what you're searching for. I am not intending to share any such techniques about Google search because there is already lot of information floating online which you can make use of.

I wrote this blog post only to pass on the message that one can learn how to use Google in an efficient way using Google itself. In fact, I also wanted to express my gratitude towards Google for the amazing support that it has been in a lot of my work. Google has reduced the information gap between the source and the destination. The reason Google thrives is not because it's a company which has the best
search engine but because it's a vision which is benefiting mankind to a large extent. Thanks a lot Google!!!!!!!!!!!

Wake UP call - 12 best lessons from my mentor - Part 4

Lesson 10: Excite your work

No matter how many leaves we take from our college or office, ultimately we need to accept the truth of life that we need to work to earn our bread and butter. We need to work to earn our livelihood, we need to work to accomplish our dreams. Ultimately majority of our life is spent only on working because life is just the other name or work and vice versa. As we are aware that we need to work throughout our life, it's mandatory for us to make our work exciting. No one can come and make your work exciting. You've to innovate different ways of exciting your work all by yourself to enjoy doing it day and night.

Lesson 11: Every new skill matters

There is no other option but accepting the fact that there are a billion talents and skills existing in this world today. Every skill has its advantages. So no skill is small, no skill is big as long as you know as to when to use it and where to use it. No opportunity comes to us with a pre-invitation. We must be prepared to meet any opportunity whenever it strikes to achieve success. Developing new skills goes into the category of preparation. A new skill which you're interested in may or may not be useful currently in your work but there's no harm in developing it today because it might be of help tomorrow or sometime later. Hence I claim that every new skill matters.

Lesson 12: Surprise the world with something new frequently

The world around us and the people in it always like and love surprises. Monotony is ruling the lives of many in current times. People are trying to find solutions to breakthrough the doors of daily work schedule. Unfortunately some are bound by honesty while some others by salary. As a result, they work in spite of all the hard feelings at heart. What brings a fresh feeling in them is that of seeing someone who has broken the shackles of the world, broken some rules, taken some risks to boast of some achievements. When the audience is awaiting, the superstar has to arrive and he cannot repeat monotony. He has to bring something new for every show to entertain the audience . Likewise, each one of us will have to get something new often to surprise the world around us which is waiting for it.

Wake UP call - 12 best lessons from my mentor - Part 3

Lesson 7: Capture the collection on the way

How many photos have you taken of the street that you travel through everyday? How many photos have you taken separately with each of your friends? Probably the answers for both these questions is very less in number. We go through a lot of things but don't capture them as memories. Sometime, during the course of our journey when we need a collection of all such things we have no clue as to how to build it. Hence it's always advisable to take a photo at a new place where you are the first time on the way to your work. Like this you can have a huge collection of memories stored with you to refer back at any wanted time.

Lesson 8: Categorize your To-Do list

Writing down a to-do list is very important for our work to get distributed into a format such that not even one activity escapes our notice. However, putting all the work to be done under just one list gives no priority or consideration exclusivity for any single task. Each item on the to-do list is equivalent to the ten other tasks that exist there. It's just like training a lion and a chicken in the same training room with the same hunter which is totally irrational. Hence we must categorize the tasks on our to-do list so that we can prioritize accordingly and work.

Lesson 9: Targets are the most essential

No run can be scored if the crease is not marked at all in cricket; not even a single goal can be scored if the goal post is absent in the football field. Likewise in life nothing can be achieved if we don't have targets to achieve something. Target need not be only what we need to achieve, target should also be the time limit within which we need to achieve what we desire to achieve. Unless our target is time-bound, we will not be able to drive our energy at the highest peaks possible in order to exploit our complete efficiency. Associate your work with a target and enjoy the benefits.

Wake UP call - 12 best lessons from my mentor - Part 2

Lesson 4: Wake up, Take up, Dress up, Make up

If you've to go up in life, then you have to follow the 4 UPs of life. This was taught to my mentor by his mentor. Here are those 4 powerful UPs which can make us go up and grow up in life. Firstly, it's essential to wake up from our sleep early. Secondly, we must be ready to take up every responsibility that comes our way by seeing it as an opportunity. Thirdly, dressing up to be ready for work is the next UP. The world recognizes you by your dress first than your words. To err is human. So, it's very natural to find mistakes happening and we will have to respect the Murphy's law as well. Finally, we must be ready to make up for all the wrong decisions taken and unanticipated events that take away our intended results from us.

Lesson 5: Be time conscious

Time is eternal and immortal but humans are not the same. Hence, everything that's associated with us has a limited quantity. Likewise even time is a limited resource that God has gifted us of which we must make a wise choice of while using. A penny spent can be earned back but a minute lost can never be regained. That's why it's important for us to keep a check on where our time is being invested in and be totally time conscious.

Lesson 6: Feel the superstar in YOU

No matter how much ever one tries, one cannot be exactly like someone else is. Each human being on this planet is unique in himself/herself. Being so, everyone has unique capabilities and the skill levels to excel at them. It's completely up to us to decide how far we want to reach in life. Everyone dreams of being a superstar by mastering certain skillsets. While you dream of becoming a superstar you should feel the superstar in you. You will have to behave as if you've become the best in what you do and that influence itself shall make you a real superstar someday in the eyes of the people around.

Wake UP call - 12 best lessons from my mentor - Part 1

27th July was yet another remarkable day when I went to my mentor, Sujit Lalwani sir with a problem seeking for a solution only to learn that the problem was not the problem at all but there was something beyond that. The discussion started with just a request of one minute to discuss about the plan on work timings but it took an entirely different course as the real reasons for the confusion started unfolding. A one minute intended clarification went on for more than two hours of discussion and some of the best lessons were shared by my mentor. There is no point keeping these 12 powerful lessons with me alone. They've helped me a lot and I wish to share them with my dear readers so that whoever wants to uplift their lives can use them.

Lesson 1: Feel your dream

All of us have dreams but not all people feel their dreams. The reason you will find people with dreams but no destinations is because they don't cherish the feeling of accomplishment of their dreams even before dreams come true. Only when you can feel the thriving effect while imagining the dream coming true only then will you be able to accomplish the dream with the drive it gives you. Hence it's very important to feel your dreams while working to achieve them.

Lesson 2: Reignite your dreams

I am sure that you can go back to your past and recollect a lot of dreams that you had in your childhood. As we grow up we tend to forget the dreams and start building new ones. The same process repeats and old dreams are forgotten while new ones are built. There is no point in forgetting a dream once dreamt. Hence it's very essential to reignite our dreams time and again only to not allow them from dying away. There is no point in allowing your dreams to die away because we are alive to realize our dreams in reality.

Lesson 3: Even you're a human

While working towards multiple accomplishments in life, we tend to get pressurized by the number of tasks on our to-do list/s. Too much of competition from all directions bog us down. At one point, the frustration reaches its peaks and we might even decide to just get away with all the work at hand and not do anything just to attain some bliss in solitude. At such times, it doesn't mean that you're one of those who run away fearing work; it's just a temporary feeling which is very much natural for a human to feel.

Documentation passes on education

Documentation is the best way of passing on education. Man is mortal and that's why documentation becomes a very essential medium of passing on what one man knows to the other. Though man is supposed to be one of the living beings, he cannot escape death and his term of living is limited. However a non-living stone can live forever. Probably it should have been assigned with the identity of living because it lives forever. Extrapolating this to all the non-living things, every non-living thing is actually the living thing that lives through all the tests of time.

None of us belonging to the present generation have seen Aristotle or Plato or Galileo or even Hitler for that matter. We are lucky to know about them and how they looked, courtesy the books that printed their photos and the video-tapes that captured their precious moments of life. If there existed no papers or photographs or video-tapes, probably we would have forgotten the history of our forefather generations. The early man through different ages made his documentation on the walls of the caves. This has helped us to know what the Cro-Magnon man looked like and how he lived. Documentation has helped to avoid repetitions of inventions and discoveries. If no one ever documented anything then man had to still be in the Old Stone Age. Thanks to documentation! That it has helped to counter all these disadvantages and helped man's life to progress through different civilizations.

Documentation of the history has yielded our present. Likewise documentation of the present shall yield our future. Not just passing on of education, documentation also avoids repetition of work. Also one man cannot explore the entire world and all its aspects and learn all of them on his own. Different people will have to take the responsibility of exploring different fields and document about it. Once this is done, it shall serve as a form of education for others and as a result all of them shall be mutually empowered. You can pass on your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Excel to extend

The moment I see the word 'excel', the famous movie dialogue from the movie '3 idiots' comes into my mind. In that movie, Aamir Khan tells his friend not to run behind success, instead advises him to run behind excellence and success shall automatically follow. Excellence at work is something everyone expects and people aspire to acquire. Not just work, every arena of life is important to make our life complete and hence displaying or achieving excellence in all arenas of life becomes a very important requirement to live an enriching and fulfilling life. Excellence is that epitome that differentiates the ordinary from the extraordinary and the champs from the chaps.

Each one of us has a desire to venture into different forms of work and also to scale up our position in the stream we are working in. Extending our boundaries of influence is a natural instinct that man has and craves for as he grows through life. How far can one extend is always determined by how far one is willing to expand himself to serve the extra responsibilities. They say that one in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. Likewise keeping up to the current work responsibilities is much more important than extending our hand to check out the next pocket. In current times, just fulfilling the duties alone is insufficient. Along with fulfilling one has to excel in the current field and prove that he has much more capacity to take in more work on his plate. Excellence serves as the benchmark to select a leader and only a leader can extend beyond the limitations.

You might have seen that busy people are the people who can make time for more work in spite of their busy-ness. Likewise people vest work with those who show that they already excel at the work which is vested with them. Just wishing for more freedom or more power and higher designation doesn't get us what we want. When we excel at utilising our freedom, power and position which are already with us to the best extent, only then can we extend our hands to ask for more and people shall extend their hands to give more. You can extend your hand to give your lovely feedback on

Work is the only best source of self-motivation

Someone recently asked me as to what to do when one doesn't have a person to motivate or any other source of motivation. Parents, teachers, cousins, relatives, friends and colleagues are the set of known people who enter the nearest circle of our life to motivate us. Their act is a direct one where they provide motivation to us. On the other hand, there is a passive way of motivating onself when we draw motivation by reading about great men and women who have taught the world the lessons of success. Drawing motivation by observing the hardworking ants, flying eagle, honest dog, big and strong elephants or the wonderful nature around us is also a passive way. However in both of these ways there is only a surge in motivation levels in us which may eventually lead to action but the action is still pending and not guaranteed. There is the third way which is apt and the best because it not only induces motivation but also makes sure that the motivation reaps immediate results and that is "WORK".

Whenever anyone tells me that s/he is not motivated, I just ask them one question, 'What are you doing?' and the instant reply is 'Nothing! because I am demotivated.' The clue is right over there. The moment we aren't doing anything, we are setting up our mind in idle state and all us know it well that, 'An idle mind is a devil's workshop'. While entering the modern age of the world the phrase has got reframed as, 'An idle mind is a devil's paradise'. Whenever there is no work on our mind, there is something else on our mind for sure because there cannot be vacuum in our mental space. As a result of this, enter the lethargic elements which pull down the focus on our work which eventually leads to lower self-esteem, in other words called as demotivation. Work is the only special way where in the moment we get into action, our motivation levels are bound to rise because the body is in action while the actual role of motivation is to lead us into action. So work forms that mutual path that brings in both self-motivation as well as the action required to take our life one step further. Let's work and the work shall work for us. It can be of much help to me if you provide your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Quality assurance

As I have been writing blogs continuously for more than 300 times now, more and more people have started reading my blogs. So it becomes a responsibility to write quality blogs. Now that I have taken up the challenge of completing 72 blogs in next 9 days, it's an added pressure to squeeze out quality in each of these blogs. Without quality, any amount of quantity doesn't have any value. So it is very important for me to assure quality with every new blog of mine.

Same is the case with every kind of work that we repeat day after day. Most of the people out there feel that they needn't give an extra look at the routine work that they do everyday, be it the office work or work at home. It sets in the subconscious mind that no matter how well you do it, you still have to do the same the next day. This is the reason why most people don't enjoy their work and as a result do not reap the complete benefits out of it. They halt their own personl progress. A simple example of consistent quality is that of our Litter Master, Sachin Tendulkar. He has played cricket for more than 2 decades now. Still he is the no.1 batsman that any new aspirant in cricket would look up to because he tries his best to assure quality cricket in every new match of his.

Life makes us repeat certain things because it is essential to repeat the important stuff. It's not the work that should excite you, it's you who has to make your work exciting. No matter how much ever you dislike your work, at the end of the day only you shall be responsible for the output of your work. Hence make sure that you assure quality no matter even if you are repeating the same kind for work for the millionth time. I give my best to assure quality in my blogs and hence expect your quality feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

What will others think about me?

"Sabse bada rog, kya kahenge log". This is a transliteration of a Hindi statement which means that the biggest disease is 'what will others say?". It inertly indicates the worry about what others will say about me. I had always thought that this was a very simple and well-known topic and hence not necessary for me to address. But I find that each one I come across is suffering from this disease and sometimes even I tend to forget this saying. The best reinforcement is by sharing.

Man is a social animal. As a result of all other homo-sapiens surrounding us we are answerable to lot of them for our words and actions. The worst part is when we need to even answer the strangers about things completely unrelated to them. So many people suffer from the pain of worrying as to what the other person might be thinking and saying about them. This worry doesn't have any logical reasoning because it is just made up in one's own mind by a mere assumption without any confirmation from the other person whether s/he actually is thinking about him/her in the way s/he imagined. The person is really not sure if the other person spoke the way s/he has imagined him/her to have spoken. We interpret gestures with different meanings at such worry times and reaffirm our nonsensical made-up thoughts to deepen the pain further. If it really mattered to both about what the other person thought or said about you, s/he will share it with you directly and the matter can be resolved. If the other person has not spoken to you directly about what s/he is thinking or saying about you then it's none of your business to worry about that.

"An idle mind is devil's workshop" was a previous slogan. Today's slogan is 'an idle mind is devil's paradise'. All these thoughts about other people come to our mind only when it is not generating thoughts about our work. So either there is a scarcity of work or goals. So the moment you think about what others will say or think about you, you can be sure that you have to once again revise and reinforce your goals. I hope you liked this blog. If so, pour in your valuable feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Rearranging and reordering

As per research it has been found out that a significant proportion of our time is lost in rearranging and reorganising the stuff around us. More than doing or creating new things and new work we are busy with rethinking about all the old stuff and sorting them. The thought of writing this blog was triggered in my mind by a mere careless task of mine. I was wearing a sweater which I removed and put on the stand. In the process I didn't notice that the sweater wasn't folded in a neat form before I put it on the stand. When I observed this I once again took back the sweater, folded it neatly and put it back. Probably you might think that folding into neat form would have taken the same time whether done before or after. Yes! I do agree with you on this point but the extra time spent in taking and putting back the sweater on the stand is the loss of time and energy.

So a simple careful act of folding the sweater before throwing it on the stand would have saved probably 10 seconds of my time. When I just extend the same thought to the many other tasks that I am involved in it just freaks me out to even calculate the amount of time and energy that get wasted in setting right the things done imperfectly. No doubt that none can be perfect but why is that we don't do any of our work perfectly? Why is it that we always find some or the other loop holes in our work? The simple reason for these questions is that we ignore the extra time and efforts required to fix the mistakes. Unfortunately we include the time of rework also in our schedule. As a result of this, we tend to do away with the work at hand rather than giving just a little extra concentration to make sure that there is the least rework that's possible. 'To err is human'- accepted! but it doesn't mean 'to only err is human'. There are certain mistakes that pass right in front of our eyes without us realising them sometimes. Such require a detailed second time analysis but there are certain other errors that we call as silly mistakes. They are caused by our speed and recklessness to be correct. Such small silly mistakes should be corrected with a review while we are still at the table of work. Else re-reaching the table of work itself takes away our precious time.

Sometimes life feels so busy while sometimes the same life appears to be just busy. Not all times we are at work that we desire to do. Sometimes we end up doing work that just demand our time and efforts, seldom our interest. I think most of the times it is this lack of interest that takes away our 100% concentration from the work that we are involved in. I can really empathize with each one who undergoes this scenario. Nevertheless life seems to take the path which shall bring us closer to what we want rather than the path which we desire to tread. Just keep working

It is so obvious that time will pass whether we want it or not. It just doesn't wait, just like a tide. The best part about time is that it maintains the same constant speed of one second per second and never does increase or decrease its speed. Unfortunately we humans blame time to be too fast during our good times and time to be too slow during our bad times. Everything just lies in our perception.

Out of the 24 hours gifted to us everyday we try to manipulate with these 1440 minutes in so many 'n' different ways to plan our work better. Yet we fail time and again in front of the odds of nature. Immature planning accompanied with entropic circumstances just create havoc out of the entire charted out plan leading to tension and failing of commitments. Just like 'Heisenberg uncertainty principle' where in one cannot find the momentum and position of an electron at the same time likewise, once cannot plan every second to picture perfection. Ups and downs and sideshifts are bound to occur. So the best plan is to have the list of work to be completed arranged in the priority list and keep doing one after the other as per rough planning along with necessary timing considerations. Just make sure that the place and action of next work is on the mind while working on the present work.

Just like time passes one hour by hour, you can move on from one work to another. At the end of the day you might not have completed all the work but you can sleep peacefully because you would have completed at least some work by working continuously without sitting and planning or contemplating as to why something went wrong or right. Keep the cycle of work continuous so that all your priorities are addressed with action more than just mere thoughts of planning. Keep sharing on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

The tolerance limit

The most common habit among people that you and me would have observed is that of setting the time in the watch few minutes ahead of actually what it is. People have this feeling that if they see the time earlier than what it has to be that shall help them do lot of work much ahead of the deadlines. It is as if you deceive your own mind that you didn't set the clock ahead in time and it was the real time to trigger the sense of urgency. But still you will find that one who does this would have completed the work only by the deadline and feel happy that if the clock was set right s/he would have been late to complete the work. Let me reveal the logical reasoning here.

The human mind plans every work on a rough calculation basis based on past experience and motivation levels of the present. For example you may estimate the time to brush your teeth as 5 minutes and time to take bath as 15 minutes. This follows for all the activities that we are involved in. Seldom we remember that we are not the only deciding factors for things to happen. There are multiple external factors that shall also contribute to the early or delay in completion of work at hand. Unfortunately not may of us account this for calculation and end up blaming ourselves for not planning properly. So any work will have to be set some extra tolerance limit than the time you estimate it to take. By setting the clock ahead the human mind gives space for the influence of external factors or I can say that it sets the extra tolerance limit. So instead of setting the clock ahead of time if one can plan out the extra time required as tolerance all work can be accomplished using the real-time clock itself.

Tolerance limit need not be only with reference to time. Tolerance in terms of budget planned for household things, tolerance for the extra information needed to complete the deal, tolerance of having extra resources to complete any work are to be well-planned and included even before execution in order to avoid any further tensions or delay or loss of work. Plan your resources, time and goals with tolerance limits so that even if you save on few they can be used in the future. You can participate in feedback sharing on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Just chillax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is that which is the most essential when the mind is completely cluttered with all the happenings around? Just Chillax man!!!!!!!!!! Well! my dear reader, you will be completely disappointed if you're expecting some serious lesson for life in this blog but I can assure you on thing for sure and that is, this blog will come in handy whenever you are completely stressed out or burning in the fire of confusion.

Life is all about living happily. There is no point in worrying as all the worry of life doesn't matter when we are dead and gone. Touchwood! Let's do our work and enjoy life but I also accept that our emotions and feelings often get targeted by the situations we are in. So at such times of stress when you have no idea of how to move forward with a light heart, just chillax dude!!!!!!!! Go off to some silent and clean place not too far away from home. If you have some really cool friends who are involved in the same situation as you are take them along. Please don't take someone who doesn't understand your lifestyle and workstyle. Sip a coffee and just tell yourself the formula of 3 idiots- ALL IZZ WELL!!!!!!!!! Put yourself out of the difficult situation and pat yourself for reaching there because difficulties only indicate that you are growing. Discuss or envision a bigger and brighter future and set some schedule to deal with all the problems individually. Don't plan anything else apart from that. Just spend some quality time to understand yourself and your friends better and get back home.

There is not a limited work that can be done and finished in this world. Work keeps piling up one after the other and if one can s/he can even work after dying and still there would be lots left. So give some breaks for chillaxing as well so that your mind and soul are rejuvinated back to the normal state so that you can think of better ways of handling the stuff at work. The Real Failure

"Failure is the stepping stone to success". "Failure doesn't mean the end, it just means that your success is postponed". You might have heard 'n' number of such other quotes on failure. Any failure that you face in the process of your work towards success is not a real failure at all. It was just an experience and a knowledge building incident which was bound to occur in the path to success. However let me reveal to you the REAL failure here. The real failure is when you fear and fail to start your work.

I can guarantee you that there are more number of people in this world who have been afraid to start their work and have failed than those who have actually started the work and failed. As I said above the real failure is when you haven't started the work also because no one can really estimate at what point you reach success. So your success might meet you at any point during the progress of your work and hence once the work has commenced you are already in close connection with success through your work. Your work is just a bridge between you and success. But when you have not started the work at all then all possibilities of having the bridge also cease to exist and hence it's a self-declared defeat. More than that, I can say that your dream or goal or vision has failed to lure you towards it because failure when expanded becomes 'failed to lure'.

Let me take you to a higher level of perception now. Folks! there is nothing called as success or failure. Both are just perceptions. It's the way you look at the situation you are in. However there is no other bigger mistake than not starting your work towards what you want to accomplish just because of fear. Face the fear and mail your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Not interested but compulsory

I have met a lot of people who say that they are not interested in doing certain things but are forced by their parents, relatives or society to do the same. Especially coming to students, some of them don't like to study. Some employees don't like to do the work and follow the rules of the company. Lack of interest coupled with forced implementation is just lengthening the gap between the work and the people. I am damn sure that each of us are committed to something that we have no interest to do. So how do we deal with this?

Let's accept that the world doesn't run on our words. There is a structure that has been established by many civilizations through decades of decades where all of us have landed up in. I haven't heard of any person who has proclaimed that he is very interested and passionate about brushing his teeth and taking bath everyday. Still we do these 2 activities no matter how difficult or boring they are. {I really pity those people who surround the specimens who don't perform even these 2 basic essentials}. Coming back to the point of interest in the work that we do, let me not inhibit from claiming that not every work is interesting. It's upto the person who is entrusted with the work to perform the work with complete interest in it. When certain work is compulsory and you can't escape from it then it's good to do it. Even more better is to generate and vest some interest in it and doing it.

If you like sweets you can't keep eating them daily because very soon you will get bored of it. There should be other spicy and sour food that you must taste in between so that you completely rejoice the sweet once again. Same case with the work. Complete the work that's compulsory and once you have done it you will be filled with double the interest to work on your passion. Completion of any form of work is what that gives the ultimate satisfaction to human life. I have completed my work of blogging, can you complete your work of writing a feedback how much ever disinterested you are about that on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Fun, Work, recreation- All need time

Childhood days were the happiest is what most of them regard as. The reason being there was play everyday and the only work was homework. Recreation was something which we hadn't even had heard of in those days of enjoyment. Work was divided exactly into homework everyday and preparation for tests and exams at the time required. Winter holidays, summer holidays, Christmas holidays, Dussera holidays and so on formed the best times for our trips and recreation. We knew really well as to when to play, when to work and when to rest. But what's happening with the current generation?

Today, you will find so many people working in offices but sad that they are unable to enjoy life while at the same time you will even find people who will be on vacation but will be complaining about loads of work at office and insufficient salary. People think about work while having fun and worry about not having fun while working. They want to take rest during office hours but can't sleep at night since they haven't completed the office work. Earning money and satisfying all the desires and deadlines are mounting pressure on people's heads day by day. At any point while you are at work someone else will be on vacation or at play, while you are playing someone else is bound to be working which is a universal fact. Groupism forces people to do what their peers are doing and the moment one finds him/herself in a different sect than the peers, jealousy and dissatisfaction start to eat away the mental energy and time.

Friends! life is supposed to be an amalgamation of all these three entities- fun, work and recreation. You can't keep working all the time, you can't keep playing all the time, you can't keep resting all the time. So plan and divide your time as to what to do at what time. When you plan your time like this, you are not bothered about what others are doing because you know for sure as to where you are heading. Work excites the brain, fun satisfies the heart while recreation rejuvinates the soul. Keep pouring your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Your work Your royalty

In the investor words royalty is defined as "A payment made for the use of property, especially a patent, copyrighted work, franchise, or natural resource. The amount is usually a percentage of revenues obtained through its use." Probably I wouldn't prefer to complicate the meaning or the definition by way of elaborated complex description as we don't need it. If you have understood the above definition which I am sure that you have then to make your understanding simpler just read the title of the blog once again.

Whatever you work on earlier during your lifetime is what that will serve you when you're unable to work later. Today, many people are in the rapid mad rush of building materialistic assets one after the other with an unending list in their hands. In due course they are forgetting to build the contribution that their work can generate. I am not against the process of building materialistic assets as I do agree that it's very important in life but let me reassure you that its not the only solution for the days of drought. If an author has authored a book, he keeps getting royalty income when every new copy of his book is sold. Similarly when a musician has composed a music album, he keeps getting royalty income for every record that's sold. These types of royalty keep continuing and increasing as long as the book or the music can satisfy the customers. So an author who invests more on enriching his writing ability to cater to mass audience can write more books of more vareity and have more sources of royalty income. Similarly a musician who can nourish the musical talent in him in diversified directions to meet the tastes of diversified music lovers can enlarge his modes of royalty income for all the musical work that he does. In either of the cases, if the author or the musician starts focusing only on increasing his bank balance or the luxury chart of his house exploiting the temporary popularity in ignorance of the growth and development of his talent then he might soon end up in losing the people's interest because people demand change and novelty.

The example of the author or the musician was just to illustrate the importance of the quality of work that one has to deliver over the mere fulfillment of basic and baseless necessities of life. Your work is what will reap you fruits when you're no more in a position to deliver the same what you could do some years back. Hence focus on what you can do more, what you can do better and how much more your work can contribute. My work is to develop the messages in my blogs to reach the different strata of thinkers and readers and also to know their reviews on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Calmness counts

Once Swami Vivekananda and his disciple were travelling by foot to a village. On the way they saw a river and Swami Vivekananda asked his disciple to get him some water for drinking. When his disciple went near the river, he saw that people were washing clothes, vessels and animals and some were taking bath in the same river. As a result the river water was very dirty and unfit for drinking. The disciple reported the same to Swami. Then both of them walked away from there and in the evening while returning back from the village they stopped at the same place near the river and once again Swami Vivekananda asked his disciple to get him some water for drinking. The disciple obeyed the order and saw to his surprise that the river water was very clean and clear and got it for his Swami. Then Swami Vivekananda asked his disciple as to what he had learnt from this experience. So the disciple was wondering as to how the dirty water of the morning had become clean drinking water within a matter of few hours. Then Swami explained to him that when sufficient time was allowed for the water to settle, all the dirt were separated away and clean water remained back. Likewise there is always lot of clutter of thoughts, feelings and tensions in our minds of which we cannot get rid off at once. So we need to allow sufficient time for the unclean thoughts to drain away so that the mind remains calm.

No doubt that in this busy world where responsibilities are pounding one upon the other racing the order of priorities in our lives, we are bound to be stressed with multiple work on our minds. Sometimes we even forget the importance of which work to be done first or which work later. There spring up instances when either fun or work fail to give the necessary excitement to life. Everything seems to be less interesting with a strange sense of dissatisfaction of lacking something in life that could spice up some joy. Then hundred percent commitment and passion do not get into any work. Visions and dreams start feeling less important in front of the temporary unhappiness at heart. Every human being is bound to go through such instances 'n' number of times in life. Just be ready for it friends! You cannot keep getting frustrated during all such instances. Allow time to pass by. Time will filter off the unnecessary thoughts and help you refocus on your goals once again and you can restart all over again with full zeal. Infact a conscious revision of your own goals, dreams and visions can hasten the process of coming out of this hibernation process. Just be calm enough to take care of the disturbed mind because calmness counts.

Life's experiences take turns everytime and I make sure to convey most of them to you. Would love to hear from you as well on
