Questions and Answers

The world would have been completely silent and calm if we hadn't had the fortune of speaking to each other. I am damn sure that, my dear reader, you are able to hear my voice in your head right now. You might be just reading what I have written here, but definitely there is a voice running deep down in your brain which is not audible to the outside world but, for sure loud enough for your head. Communication forms the intricate part of establishing a bond in any relation. It involves just exchange of opinions. Whenever no discussions are happening, then it only means that there are a lot of questions building up in our minds. All you need to do at such points of time is to throw the questions and get the answers. If you are on the other end of the table as a leader then pull out the questions and give the right answers. Questions and answers have the power to calm down all highs and lows of our feelings and emotions.

People would have been more than happy if everyone around them did exactly as they expected each one of them to do. Unfortunately, what happens in a human's brain seldom reaches the people around. As a result, exchange of ideas, thoughts and feelings in terms of words are very essential. Sometimes, or should I say, a lot of times not all the points made satisfy a person's appetite for information or confirmation of the information received. At such times, there are always possibilities of confusions, distrust, emotional conflicts and a whole lot of other silly issues to creep up. The assumptions that build due to too much of gap in communication also submerge the truth and the reality and build a mountain of unnecessary heap on top of the objectives, due to which the complete essence of the objectives is forgotten. The arguments and disagreements arise. Losers give up fighting on such issues to resolve them either due to ego or laziness. But a leader must take the stand. He must be ready to put down his ego, crush it and take the first step to make the person in front of him sit, and help in solve the queries bothering the relation. Heaps of irrelevant and irrational questions need to be answered until the true objective surfaces itself. Every human being is at least blessed with the ability to realise the importance of lost objectives, and when made realised to be ready to relearn them. Some souls get their ego as a defence just to win the argument rather than the true discussion or the objectives. Once again you need to question and get the answer or answer the same old question until the ego is satisfied.

The biggest role of a leader comes to picture here. A leader must be ready to dig into the mountain of doubts and uncertainties that people carry in them, due to which, neither they proceed in life, nor allow someone else to move ahead in life. A leader's job is to make people answer the questions and thus form a channel for them to leak out all their negativity so that positivity can be filled into them. The process is not as easy as it can be spoken about or written or read. It's a tough job of a leader and only a leader can take up such tough challenges and solve them to make the world a better place to live in for people around him.

2nd lesson for freshers

Long back I had written a blog which had some of the guidelines to the freshers who enter offices to start their official career. Hence I call the current blog that you are reading as the 2nd lesson for freshers. In this blog I would like to share some personal experiences of mine and the lessons that I learnt out of them. I am very much sure that everyone of you will come across these scenarii and I hope that this blog will serve you as the torch in the unawareness of darkness.

Any kind of technical work is always logical in its approach. Hence there is no special miracle to understand or do any kind of technical work. Most of us in our work would be doing this. There are hardly few careers such as marketing or public relations wherein one deals with people and not technology. There are complete set of different lessons for this field which I will convey in another blog. As of now lets take up the technical profession where we work with computers and machines. You might have studied completely a different subject than what you will be working in your office. So be ready to accept this new sphere of learning. Every basic logical block has already been embedded in our brains. How well we assmeble them to understand the complex logic at job is in our heads not hands. When something is new no wonder that we are filled with questions and doubts and the immediate answers we see are the seniors filled with experience and we approach them instantly for our solutions. No doubt they also help initially but later it just gets distrubing for them as well. I was a prey to one such bad experience. Just make sure that you give your extra time to understand the problem at hand even before going to the seniors. Tell yourself that you are going to learn everything without taking anyone's help. The best friend who will always help you in this phase will be GOOGLE. Search for anything and everything and gather information. Explore and learn the answers for your own questions and doubts.

Every problem either has a solution or no solution. If it has a solution I am damn sure you can crack it with the help from internet. If there's no solution then make sure that you have tried out as many approaches as possible to find the solution but in vain. But these efforts don't go a waste. They serve as the R&D work of finding out the different methods that cannot yield the solution to your problem. Learn the process well and practise good documentation. Both of these will build your reputation in the team.

I have shared my little experience, do let me know if you have similar ones on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Answers to my questions

Everyone of us have lot of questions about life and the world around us. We seldom dare to ask anyone these questions most of the times because we ourselves are not quite sure about our questions. All of us are flowing in the current set ages ago. Certain patterns, certain customs are just imposed upon us and we don't dare to question any. Also there are few subjects that we want to learn about but we aren't sure about whom to ask those questions. Even I was swimming in this ocean of questions and doubts about living and the way of living and am still conitnuing but in due process I was fortunate enough to have some really high-level discussions with highly wise people and was able to get few answers for my questions. As Robin Sharma says 'When the student is ready, the teacher appears', the same happened with me. I will be on one such fortunate trip again by tomorrow night where I'll be getting lot of confusions and questions cleared by my mentor but before that I would like to share with you some of the answers that satisfied my questions.

Q. Why is it necessary to have dreams to buy vehicles, ornaments and houses?
A. We can work only for a limited age. As we get old we won't have enough strength to work and earn income. So we need to build sources that can yield income in our old days. Renting a house can help us serving as a source of income in the later stages of life.

Q. What is a vision and who is a visionary?
A. A vision encompasses for masses. For example: there might be just one new coffee shop started by a person but if he is a visionary he will have a vision to have thousands of coffee shops all over the world. A visionary will always think and plan of expanding anything that has started so that it can serve large masses of people.

Q. What is spirituality and how can one become spiritual?
A. Spirituality is all about how much you can understand yourself. It's about how you can empathize with anyone around you. You would have reached the highest state of spirituality when you can enjoy in the joy of others and when you can feel the sadness to the same extent as that of the victim.

Q. Though people have big dreams in the beginning, why do they give up but do not persist on achieving them?
A. People want results quickly. They get disheartened when their expectations are not met with the real results after their initial efforts. They are not satisfied with the way dream comes into reality. They aren't ready to accept that they need to work for a long time to achieve big goals and when the result happens in a much smaller size they give up without continuing to build upon it to make it bigger.

Q. What is the level of purity of thoughts?
A. A pure thought can be as pure as a rain drop. Still the rain that rains through the impure polluted environment gets polluted and can result in acid rain causing lot of harm to the animalkind but just think about those rain drops that fall over a greenery or a forest or on top of the mountians. Its the purest form of water and that is the level of purity that should be associated with our thoughts.

I have represented very few discussions in the above scenarios. I still have lot of questions for which I am searching for answers. Even if you have questions like these please forward them to me. If I can answer them I will try my best to provide the best answer else I will make sure to find the answers to them. Life is all about exploring and sharing and we don't have lot of lifetime to learn everything ourselves. Hence take the help of mentors and wise people to learn the answers soon and to grow through life faster.
