Make a comeback

I am very sure that you would have witnessed a lot of comebacks by a lot of people throughout your life. You yourself might have been an example of one of the best comebacks. Then you will have a lot to empathize while reading this blog. If you haven't experience any sorts of comebacks till now then this blog shall try its best to provide you the insights into a comeback. A winner is not one who wins once but one who knows to comeback even after losing a million times only with the belief and hope of winning once again.

The world has evolved through many civilizations and ages to reach the best time that we are surviving in today. All that man wanted in life when he was dropped on this planet was just a piece of food to eat, a metre of cloth to cover himself and a shade of tree to rest. Progressively the needs and desires have gone on to increase multifold times and man is put in a race to satisfy all of them. In due course of struggle all of us try our best to compete in order to achieve all that we desire to accomplish. Sometimes due to different reasons we fall down from the race and it takes quite sometime to get back. During this brief period of being outside the field lethargy and indiscipline set in while we are recovering from the hit. So when we make a comeback, fitness and complete preparedness to get into the field are tested really hard compared to those people who were practising inside the field while we were recovering outside the field.

This initial period of comeback tests the real spirit in us that dares to make a comeback. Any comeback will be commented as luck if we don't win after being back in the race. So we will have to put in double the efforts and passion than before to make sure we are back to the winning position once again. The world has forgotten all those comebacks which just entered a game and then retired but it has remembered only those comebacks which recorded new records for the world to follow on later. Get ridiculed, teased, scolded, rejected and neglected

In today's sophiscated society, many are afraid of even receiving one negative comment on facebook also. That is the level of mental defence that many are trying to portray today. No one wants to be laughed at, no one wants to be at the end of receiving bad reviews as well. Everyone wants to present the best image of their's in others' eyes irrespective of the real hidden truth. Unfortunately people are heeding to what others say than what they know about themselves.

I remember a interview incident that took place between one of the famous directors from India by name K.Balachander and the superstar of Indian movies Dr. Rajnikanth. In this interview K.Balachander sir regretted that in the initial stages of Rajnikanth's career, he had scolded Rajnikanth many a times and today after seeing Rajnikanth grow to a Godly image for the people of India, he felt he had done such a foolish mistake of scolding such a star human being. This simple incident showed me two phases. One is, you are not a big-shot and you are scolded. Second, the day you become the big-shot those people regret who scolded you initially. So just don't get offended just because someone throws a negative comment at you. People exist to pull you down on spirits and enthusiasm, they will ridicule, tease, scold, reject, neglect your thoughts, ideas, feelings, emotions, words, actions, achievements and a lot more. Are you ready to grow so big that the very same people should regret their actions towards you at a later point of time?

Remember! every revolution is first rejected, then neglected and later accepted. Many fail to fuel their fire of passion in the first two stages itself seeing the responses of the people. Better not heed to the response at all until you reach the third stage. If you are sure to work and accomplish the task you have taken up then be ready to get ridiculed, teased, scolded, rejected and neglected. Not interested but compulsory

I have met a lot of people who say that they are not interested in doing certain things but are forced by their parents, relatives or society to do the same. Especially coming to students, some of them don't like to study. Some employees don't like to do the work and follow the rules of the company. Lack of interest coupled with forced implementation is just lengthening the gap between the work and the people. I am damn sure that each of us are committed to something that we have no interest to do. So how do we deal with this?

Let's accept that the world doesn't run on our words. There is a structure that has been established by many civilizations through decades of decades where all of us have landed up in. I haven't heard of any person who has proclaimed that he is very interested and passionate about brushing his teeth and taking bath everyday. Still we do these 2 activities no matter how difficult or boring they are. {I really pity those people who surround the specimens who don't perform even these 2 basic essentials}. Coming back to the point of interest in the work that we do, let me not inhibit from claiming that not every work is interesting. It's upto the person who is entrusted with the work to perform the work with complete interest in it. When certain work is compulsory and you can't escape from it then it's good to do it. Even more better is to generate and vest some interest in it and doing it.

If you like sweets you can't keep eating them daily because very soon you will get bored of it. There should be other spicy and sour food that you must taste in between so that you completely rejoice the sweet once again. Same case with the work. Complete the work that's compulsory and once you have done it you will be filled with double the interest to work on your passion. Completion of any form of work is what that gives the ultimate satisfaction to human life. Backup or Backdoor

Close all your backdoors if you are going to follow your passion. Make sure you have the required backup when you set out for this adventurous journey. I think the previous two statements have already conveyed the difference between 'backup' and 'backdoor'. Many are confused whether to follow their passion or do what can yield result and reward right at the present moment. I have tried to come up with a practical method which can help you live a life that you dream of and let me share it with you.

Basic necessities of life are the most important to be fulfilled irrespective of whether we are passionate about what we are doing or not. If these basic essentials can get fulfilled at the basic level possible then you can definitely think of working for the extra that you dream of. Without being able to fulfill the pressing needs of a basic life it's even more difficult to work towards our dreams. If you are already working in the field about which you are the most passionate about and are able to fulfill your and your family's basic necessities then continue the same without turning back even if your income fluctuates sometimes. If you are a person like I was some days back who are working in a field out of necessity and not out of passion then just calculate well if you can earn and save enough which can support your basic needs for next one year. If you have saved this much amount of money then it will be your backup when you jump into the field of your passion completely.

If you are spending extra apart from your basic needs being in a work and blaming that is the reason for you not being able to work on your passion then it's the backdoor. Backdoors are those escapades which you keep open under the fear of security which will never allow you to open the front doors towards your dreams. Unless the backdoors are shut completely you will never be able to work on your passion completely. If you can build one year of experience backup in the extra time apart from your work and be able to generate at least ten percent of revenue and also save a backup which can support you for one year without any income from the field of your passion then you can fearlessly close all your backdoors and open the front doors towards the life that you always dreamt of living.

As I foray into the future

As I foray into the future of unlimited freedom, I realise that I need to be more responsible for each and every act of mine. I have worked as a software engineer at Oracle for over three years now and finally on October 12th,2012 I quit my job to enter the field of full time entrepreneurship. Today, a day after my job ends the mind is clear without any pressure of work or confusion about my career growth as a software engineer in a company. The mind is pouring in questions as to how do I work on my passion and impact a large mass of people. Every instance happening around just inspires me to think a lot more as to how can I make use of it to grow to be a better human being.

The seed of becoming an inspirational speaker was sown in my head when I was in 9th std when I watched few videos of Shiv Khera. The sheer power to hold a crowd of thousands of people just by talking for hours together really triggered the desire more in me to do the same. I have been addressing people from three years now and it's been an enhancing experience each time I do it. Today I feel, I have all the time and all the resources that are necessary to build my intellectual ability to serve all those who listen to me. Working in a job of eight hours also gave me ample time to invest on my passion of public speaking. The only reason that I could take the strong decision of quitting my job was this. I practised my passion bit by bit in the available time even while I was working for my living elsewhere.

Friends! Your passion is only yours and belongs to no one else. It's in your hands to either water it or leave it to spoil and die. The only way to keep your passion alive is by practising it as often as necessary. Since I kept my hopes alive that someday in the future I will make my passion as my profession, I always tried to take out my extra and free time apart from the office work towards my passion and took talks. I feel a sense of accomplishment in letting you know that I have addessed more than ten thousand people face to face through seminars, inspirational and empowerment talks and trainings while working in a job for which I had to spend 3 hours of travelling daily. Probably one lesson that I can share out of my experience is that, practise your passion no matter how busy you are because at the sunset of our lives we only remember what we did out of passion and not what we did out of pressure in the past. The birth of Talent

It has been a question on mind right from childhood as to why different people have different talents and varied skill levels in those respective talents. Everyone of us are born as babies emptyhanded. A poet is not born with a pen in his hand, a cricketer is not born with a bat in his hand, a painter is not born with a brush in his hand, a singer is not born with a mike in her hand. Still we see that some excel in sports, some in arts, some in science. I keep wondering sometimes as to how a child develops a talent of his/her own in the process of growing. Today while I was teaching my younger brother about painting, probably I saw the birth of the talent of painting in him which I want to share in this blog of mine.

As everyone of us know that be it any talent, no one is a master of it right at the beginning. Only he becomes a master of the talent who works as a slave of his persistent interest and commiment to the talent. At the beginning stage, any person develops an interest towards a talent due to various reasons. May be an inspiration from a role model in the same field or a chance to try out the talent accidentally or a force by parents or teachers to work on the talent for the sake of grades. Whatever the reason might be the amateur gets in touch with the talent. The talent is not born even at that time. It is just getting ready to take a part of life of the amateur. The moment the fresher to the talent starts enjoying the refreshening feeling that the talent generates in his heart is the time the talent is born. The talent is born inside the man himself. The young boy matures into a man to safeguard and develop this talent of his. This scenario is quite similar to the situation wherein a gorgeous girl impresses the teenage boy and the wink of her eyelashes blossoms the love in the heart of the lover. As this love fills the life of the lover so does the talent starts to encompass the artist.

Thus the talent starts evolving with every practice in the mind and body of the human. More the interest, more the passion, more the commitment, more the practice, more the talent growth happens just like how a child grows into a beautiful lady with great care and nourishment. Every man gets a chance to try out his hand at different talents but he chooses to give birth to which he is attracted more. Perhaps only God can explain the reason for this attraction and why different people are attracted towards different talents. I just feel its similar to how different people are attracted towards different people of the opposite gender. At the end of the day all that counts is how well one takes care of the talent that is born inside. I request my dear reader to recognise the talent that is born within and nourish it well to present it as a gift to this world.
