What's so special about these bathrooms?

This is a question that I have asked myself and many of my friends a million times probably. After one of the recent most powerful ideas popped up in my mind while I was in the bathroom, I just decided that I have to pay my gratitude for the number of ideas that this bathroom has been a reason for. Hence, I decided that the best way to convey my regards is by writing a blog. I haven't heard of any written material about why ideas pop up in bathrooms. Probably, this blog shall serve as a material in future for people who come across the same question.

I should state the incidence of Eureka here. Though I had never read about it, I had heard about this instance many times from different sources. When Archimedes realized the Archimedes principle of buoyancy, he came on the streets running naked and shouting "Eureka! Eureka! Eureka!" If he had realized something related to water and he came out running, I think it's easy for anyone to guess that he was running out of bathroom. So the best law that rules a branch of Physics today was born in a bathroom. That far lies the history of ideas taking birth in a bathroom. I have heard many bathroom singers just like how many of you have and some of you are. Many of us make our bathrooms as our self-motivation zones. It becomes the ideation zone at times. It is the best singing and dancing zone as there's no one else to comment or ridicule us. Total freedom is all that I can say. I just keep wondering as to what is that exclusive freedom that all of us realize and experience while we are in bathrooms.

Probably, the fact that one is already naked in the bathroom and nothing more can be lost makes a person totally free to express his mind and heart out. Being in bathroom is a momentary moment of relinquishing all the pride and tensions that we carry on our heads. As we are cleansing our external body, being in bathroom gives sufficient time for a person to clean through the stuff on mind as well. Probably that's the reason why many high profile people prefer a shower more than once in a day. Anyways, I must thank the bathroom that has helped me out of difficult situations by ideating the right ideas at the right time. It's your chance to thank your bathrooms as well!

Fun, Work, recreation- All need time

Childhood days were the happiest is what most of them regard as. The reason being there was play everyday and the only work was homework. Recreation was something which we hadn't even had heard of in those days of enjoyment. Work was divided exactly into homework everyday and preparation for tests and exams at the time required. Winter holidays, summer holidays, Christmas holidays, Dussera holidays and so on formed the best times for our trips and recreation. We knew really well as to when to play, when to work and when to rest. But what's happening with the current generation?

Today, you will find so many people working in offices but sad that they are unable to enjoy life while at the same time you will even find people who will be on vacation but will be complaining about loads of work at office and insufficient salary. People think about work while having fun and worry about not having fun while working. They want to take rest during office hours but can't sleep at night since they haven't completed the office work. Earning money and satisfying all the desires and deadlines are mounting pressure on people's heads day by day. At any point while you are at work someone else will be on vacation or at play, while you are playing someone else is bound to be working which is a universal fact. Groupism forces people to do what their peers are doing and the moment one finds him/herself in a different sect than the peers, jealousy and dissatisfaction start to eat away the mental energy and time.

Friends! life is supposed to be an amalgamation of all these three entities- fun, work and recreation. You can't keep working all the time, you can't keep playing all the time, you can't keep resting all the time. So plan and divide your time as to what to do at what time. When you plan your time like this, you are not bothered about what others are doing because you know for sure as to where you are heading. Work excites the brain, fun satisfies the heart while recreation rejuvinates the soul. Keep pouring your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Stress Pressure Discomfort

Well! this was a topic that I wanted to address from a very long time. Infact I myself have been through these situations many a times and have lost many battles to come out of the same. As experience grew and exposure increased I started using certain preached techniques and also discovered few on my own to combat these. In today's busy world wherein people are burdened with 'n' number of work and responsibilities it is quite natural for one to yield to situations of stress, pressure and discomfort. Be it a student or a working individual in any field, there are challenges everywhere that need to be faced and accomplished within predefined deadline with the expected quality. Unwanted restrictions are just making life more miserable for people. So what are the reasons for this and how do we deal with them is the content of the next part.

Information keeps increasing everyday. Restructuring of knowledge evolves continuously. Methods get finetuned and new developments are bound to occur in every phase of life. Unfortunately the human mind cannot update itself in comparison to the development happening around but in order to survive one is forced upon to improve on a daily basis. There's a famous quote that I had heard which goes like this "If you are not updated then you are outdated". Indeed the statement is very true. So this simple expectation of everyday growth is itself a big hurdle which is putting people under pressure. Evaluation techniques of one's skills and knowledge are also getting tougher day by day just to filter off the rest from the best. This heavy competition is putting tremendous pressure on people to extend their working hours to survive in the competition else they know that they will be washed out. While struggling to update and compete one is surrounded with lot of other restrictions which make life even more uncomfortable.

The very simple solution logically to deal with this but a bit challenging approach practically
is to first give time for yourself to talk with yourself. The worst thing that can happen to someone is that he/she might die and death is something that is bound to occur. When you're definite about the worst thing that can happen to you and have accepted it then anything else is just a passing phase of life for which you don't have to give away your life. Just tell yourself that you will give your best to accomplish everything that is possible and start listing down the tasks that your have to do. "Too many things undone on the mind is stress" - courtesy Er.Sujit Lalwani. Once you have listed down, chart out a rough plan of the approach that you're going to follow and the time you require to accomplish each task. This will clearly tell you if you can complete all of them within the prescribed deadline or not. Then you can reorder the priorities and probably extend the deadline as well as per the new plan to complete all the tasks. As soon as this plan is charted out and finalised you will be surely releived of all the pressure. Last but not the least important point is to then make sure that you enjoy while executing your plan and try to increase your efficiency in order to complete the tasks well before the deadline so that you have enough time for review as well. This has been the method that I have been applying and which has worked out really well for me.

Sharing with you all what worked for me. Hope that you also share with me the implications of this blog's implementation on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Walk Jog Run Sprint Bolt

This was a quote on a T-shirt that I observed in the gym. Initially at the first reading I couldn't understand it then I realised that these were the measures of our pace of movement and in that category Usain Bolt had achieved so much that his name was also included in the measuring scale metrics. For the benefit of my dear reader I would like to let you know that Usain Bolt has been one of the fastest men on this earth winning many competitions in running sports. You normally jog faster than you walk, you run faster than you jog, you sprint faster than you run and if you are ahead of the speed of sprint then you are in the Bolt category. This is what the title symbolizes.

While thinking about this topic I just saw around how lethargic the world was. People are walking slowly, someone is sipping the coffee at the rate of 20 seconds per sip, some are working so patiently that the work itself would get bored to be completed. Just observe the scene around you friends. You can see how slow things are moving. The construction projects taken up by government take years to get complete, the plans set up for development of the common man take ages to get implemented and so on and so forth. Infact when I observe myself when there is no pressure I just take all the time in the world to finish the task. Have you been through those fabulous experiences of having delicious lunch for more than an hour? If you can just collect all these scenes in your mind together and press the fast forward button you can watch how funny it would be. No wonder on the other hand that the tasks would get over so soon that you would have enough time left to rejoice other things of life. I agree that there are certain moments that we must savour with the highest patience and time but for all other things I think having pace is a good advantage.

Just remember friends, that we we don't have time for eternal with us. All of us have limited amount of time vested into our life by the Almighty. How much we make use of it is what counts at the end of the life. Every second that you give extra to a task is your denial of that extra second to another task. If you can walk a bit faster to save few seconds, if you can read a bit faster to save few minutes, if you can work a bit faster to save few hours, if you can think to plan a bit faster to save few days probably you would end up saving few extra years of your life which can be invested in a lot of other productive activities. Your time starts now!
