Every problem has a solution

Life is a wonderful journey for those who are ready to see it unfold and be prepared to receive the shocks and surprises that it might throw. For some, life becomes drudgery because what they expected and what life gifted them were in opposite poles. No one decides what one needs to get out of life. It's a culmination of lot of factors that moulds the life the way it unfolds. Things that we can have control on seem easier than those on which we don't have any control. Such uncontrollable circumstances take the name of problems. Every problem has a solution just like how every lock is made with a key. Problem is a problem until we discover the solution for it. The best part is- everyone has equal rights to discover the solution of any problem troubling this world.

Once a person is born on this earth, no matter how hard he tries, he cannot escape the clutches of the earthy life until his time to leave the world arrives. Until then he has to pass his time on this planet. When we have no option to escape life, let's enjoy life. There is no point in sitting and moaning about things happening around us. You have the rights to cherish the good moments of life. Likewise you have the responsibility to combat the sad moments of life. While good moments make your heart go light, the tough moments should make you tough to face the challenges of life. Nothing comes easy here; you have to earn it, my friend! For those who doubt whether they will be able to earn what they desire to, here is the simple single philosophy which can empower you to believe in everything that you wish should come true. Every problem has a solution; you just need to discover it. You cannot say which solution will, for sure, solve the problem but you can be sure that when you hit the right solution the problem shall vanish. To make it happen you need to have a firm belief on God and thyself. You have to believe in yourself that you are going to be the problem-solver. Only then will your mind open up to search for solutions. Mind is one of those wonderful creations of God fit in a human body that can solve the unimaginable mysteries of this beautiful planet. Use it well and believe in your efforts which shall go on to solve the problem. What you dream is your right and no one has the rights to snatch it away from you.

There are a lot of people out there who will create problems. There are a lot out there who will complain about problems. There are plenty of those who will only see the problems and run away from them accepting defeat. None of these three categories of people take any action to solve anything. The remaining is the fourth set of people like you and me who should become the torch-bearers for the rest of them around us. We should carry the light of solutions to all the problems that hit us. Not to forget the most important lesson during the tough times of life - "Every problem has a solution".

A dream to share

As I keep writing blogs one after the other day by day, I need to ask myself as to what new have I learned today. I need to think through different diverse experiences that I have gone through till night and then pen down my most important lesson for the day. Since I have crossed more than 400 blogs now, I thought of sharing a dream of mine with my beloved readers, my true motivators.

Recently, I was searching for some content on 'self-evaluation' on google. I searched for more than fifteen minutes but couldn't find any valuable material. As the Japanese saying says, "when no one else has done it then you must do it", I took up the task of writing a blog on self-evaluation to present myself and for others who might search for the same. At that time, I just recalled about how many friends of mine and mentees had appreciated my blogs. They had even shared that they had learned many lessons from my blogs. Even in the blog statistics I have found that when people search on certain topics, they have landed on my blog. A lot of people search for different lessons on life skills on internet. Since I write most of my blogs on life skills, I dreamt that whenever a person wants to learn about a topic related to life skills like self-development or understanding the perceptions of the world, s/he should just type the topic '+ MohanBN blog' and find the answer to his/her query in my blog.

I know there's a lot of work that needs to go behind making this dream materialise into reality. I know that I need to study and learn a lot to post quality content that is completely helpful for anyone who lands on my blog. I am completely aware that I need to cover a number of topics to match with the uncountable number of queries that people can come up with in order to fulfill my dream. Knowing all these challenges, I know one more thing and that is, I shall be blogging every single day and shall take up new topics everyday. More than all, I have loving readers like you who shall support me in accomplishing this dream at the earliest. Hence I wanted to share this dream of mine with you. I would like to learn about your dreams as well, if you can post about them on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Krupanidhi School of Management invites IU

One more speech and this time it happened at Krupanidhi School of Management. It was April 1st, popularly known as the Fool's day, 2 young gentlemen from Inspiration Unlimited were invited by Krupanidhi School of Management(KSM) to address around 150 MBA students studying in their 1st year of MBA. The first man was Mr. Sujit Lalwani and the second lucky guy was me. The surprise was that both of us had no MBA degree attached to our names.

It was pretty long drive from the centre of Bangalore to reach KSM but somehow we made it but the students had to wait for about 60 minutes until we reached as we had lost the route on our way. It was about 12:30pm by the time we reached the college and the dean of KSM, Mr. Rahul Sharma escorted us into the auditorium filled with students with their blazers on citing that they were real MBA students. It was a very warm welcome extended by Ms. Patricia to begin the session. Sujit Lalwani sir took over the stage and with his never ending charm began engaging the audience in the talk of their life. He could make them realise that their choice of MBA shouldn't be just of a degree but a dream of their future life. He asked the students if they could be a part of a IUY2C campaign and when good number of hands went up, he took 5 minutes to find out the volunteers, plan the campaign, decide the deadline and assign the roles and proved that MBA could be learned in these 5 minutes.

Then Mr. Sujit Lalwani
continued talking about how few minutes of a day when used productively can help students mould their life. He explained about how grabbing every opportunity can make one go a long way ahead in life and shared some of his achievements at the national and international levels. I was glad that even I got a chance to address these set of MBA students. When I went on the stage I shared some of my experiences of my past about how otherwise advices of others can spoil our opportunities in life. I stressed on the point of making leadership a daily process and shared the example of my blogging with them. It was awesome to see that these students endorsed our points and vowed to create a difference in the world.

All regards and thanks to Mr. Rahul Sharma and the management of KSM for arranging this talk and joining hands with IU to spread inspiration among 150 more students.

Make up for the lost

As I write this 300th blog of mine, I regret those times of laziness and ignorance when I gave up on writing a blog a day. On March 4th,2012 I had decided that I would write a blog a day. I was consistent for some period of time and then sometimes I used to miss out on blogging due to various reasons. Some were genuine while some were not. I confess that I made mistakes and lost much of the time. 'To err is human' is what I have repeated many a times in my blogs. At the same time it's the responsibility of the same man to make up for all that is lost. Hence as I complete three centuries of blogs, I take up this challenge of completing 365 blogs by March 3rd,2013 midnight 12:00am.

No one is perfect and no one will ever be. Everyone keeps working towards perfection. This world is quite entropic challenging man's ability to predict every aspect of it. So, mistakes are bound to happen. At the same time lessons are also bound to be learnt by man. Once the mistakes are committed, time goes by which never comes back but the deadline for accomplishing our commitment remains the same. What remains is less amount of time but more amount of work. So at such instances it's very important for each one of us to realise that we need to walk an extra mile to fulfill our commitments and promises. When you have to make up for the lost, you have to be extra careful with what is remaining with you. If the same old mistakes are repeated then the pressure of burden of the work keeps piling upon you. So it becomes very important to chart out an optimized plan such that you walk an extra mile every day to an extent that it helps you build the momentum than break it. You will be able to work hard only when you feel the loss so deep that you can do nothing else apart from going an extra mile to make up for all that is lost.

Exactly 10 days to go before I touch March 3rd, 2013 by when I dream and aim to be the owner of 365 blogs. That shall make up for all those days that I lost by not blogging and make sure that I maintain a run rate of 'a blog a day'. I take up one more target at the same time. My blog has crossed 18000 views as of now. I would love to see it crossing 20000 views by March 3rd by when I accomplish my real goal of 'A BLOG A DAY' which I took up exactly 1 year ago. All these shall not be possible without the constant support and encouragement of my dear readers. Hence I ask for each one of my readers' wishes and blessings to help me accomplish what I aim for. Diminishing life

Hi friends! I decided to write a blog a few minutes back and the moment I see my laptop there is only 22% of charge left and I don't even have the charging chord with me right now as I write this blog to charge my laptop. My laptop is going to shut down in few minutes but I had decided to write the blog. The life of the charge right now is diminishing and I need to complete this blog quickly before the charge is over. The same situation comes up in our lives as well and that is the exact topic that I want to address in this blog right now.

Many of the times, it so happens that many decide to do a lot of things before they die and we see that the darkness of death starts spreading its wings to create the cloud of doubts of completion of the predetermined things. Hence I named this blog as diminishing life. The author Randy Pausch of the book 'The Last Lecture' addresses the same issue when he is at the verge of death due to severe cancer. It's all about achieving your childhood dreams before you die is what he coaches in his Last Lecture. I just have 17% charge left to finish this blog so let me jump straight to the core. Life doesn't give unlimited time to us to do all that that we dreamed of doing. Only issue with life is that it doesn't guarantee the ending date as well. So the last breath is always kept as a surprise to humans or any other species for that matter. As I am typing quickly in this blog just to make sure that it's completed before the life of charge is over, in the same fashion when the end is near in our lives we will have to hurry to finish all the tasks that we are entitled to and make sure that we have served the purpose that we were sent on this earth for.

Everything grows in this universe except life. Life is the only entity which diminishes as it grows day by day. Hence every moment passed, you are more near towards your end. Gear up to finish all that that you dreamt of as a child, explore all that you desired to and spread loads of inspiration and smiles among all those who come across you. One doesn't need a deadly disease like cancer or AIDS being at the verge of death to understand the worth and value of each moment of life and start working on his/her endeavours, one can also realise the same at the verge of life before it diminishes and cease to exist anymore.
(Just 8% of charge left before I post this blog. YES!!!!! I HAVE DONE IT!!!!!!)

You and your Universe

Law of attraction, Power of Belief, The Secret are the terms that explain the power of universe in making your dreams come true. When you sternly believe in something the entire universe conspires to make it happen. This law and concept have been explained in numerous books and I don't want to get into the details of it. If you're not aware about this Law of Attraction then I request you to kindly stop reading this blog right now and invest just two minutes of yours to search on internet for the meaning of law of Attraction, learn it and then proceed reading this blog. In this blog I want to talk about the implementation of law of attraction more than the concept of it because more often I have seen people not using the weapons they have but just increasing the weapon load on their shoulders.

Whenever you are wanting something make sure that you believe that's going to happen even before it has happened. This might just sound a bit too kiddish but trust me it works. Once you have already believed that it's happening for sure start emotionally enjoying the process of your dream coming true into reality. This is a complete game on your subconscious mind. You start feeling the situation of future right now at the present moment in your conscious mind. Obviously the conscience tries to tell you that it has not yet happened. Avoid listening to it and lie to yourself that your desire has already come into reality and you're savouring the moment. Repeat this process everyday as many times as possible. Whenever you're talking with someone, somehow include this topic of your future dream and talk what you would be doing when it happened. Spread the news about this dream of yours to as many people as possible not just with a hope that it might happen but with a belief that it will happen for sure. Convey the belief in you into the other person with the same zeal such that it should start making even him think about this dream of yours. All these thoughts transform into waves of energy and finally yield in the realization of your dream. Its simple as Einstein's equation of Energy = Mass*C^2. When the energy formed by thoughts of your dream grows strong enough it takes the shape of the real object right in front of your eyes. Thus the universe helps in converging your vision into reality.

There are only 2 entities in this universe. One is you and the other is your universe. Team up together to fulfil all your dreams and visions.

Small dreams are the catalyst for bigger ones

Even before starting off with the blog I have posted the conclusion as the title of the blog and I am also very sure that many of you will agree with me. Dreams have been the driving force of life. Some dreams are assumed to be the basic necessities of life and everyone has to work to accomplish them. Infact the best definition that I had heard about the dream was "Any positive thought that enters the mind" from Sri. Sumit Lalwani. If you can think deep about this statement you can realise that you can live your dreams not just everyday but every moment. Different people attribute different sizes for their dreams. I just feel more than the size of the dream the satisfaction and happiness of accomplishing it is more important. No doubt that bigger dreams when accomplished give more happiness but in this journey let's not forget that every small dream is also every important.

Today was the first time that I took my younger brother and mother to Cafe Coffee Day. I had treated so many of my friends and colleagues in CCD but not my family. So this was one small dream that was inside which materialised today. Might be my mom din't like the Cappuchino of CCD that much but I could see the excitement of coming to the CCD the first time in my her and my bro. They were really amazed to see the arrangement of chairs designed for sitting so comfortably just for a sip of coffee. The music that was running around amused them. Also the new fun filler combo contained a Belgium chocolate shot which tasted the best today because it was the first time. Remember 'First impression is the best impression'. The most happier part was that they could just sit over there and have coffee and the shot without any urgency to leave or the server disturbing them to order the next item which is the normal case when you enter the old-fashioned hotels. This was indeed a dream accomplished for me after a long time. May be I never observed so much about what happened in a CCD in my previous encounters. I had attended so many meetings and celebrations in CCDs but this was something special. May be that's the reason I say 'I was living my dream today'.

This was a very small dream but the accomplishment of it motivates me to take upon bigger ones. Most of us in our chase for achieving big dreams forget to live so many of the small dreams which would have added more enthusiasm into us. After all life is a string of beads of small moments. You never live life at one stretch for a year or even a day. You live it moment by moment. Make every moment special by having dreams which can be lived for a moment. As I said previously dreams' sizes differ from person to person. Might be some of your small dreams can be the big dreams of others. In the process of enjoying your small dream you might have helped the other person live the dream of his/her life. You are the designer of your life and its components called dreams. Dream of every smallest thing possible because life becomes more enjoyable not by just living it but by living its dreams. While we connect the dots of life lets also connect the dreams of life as closer as possible.

Please share your small dreams which have had the mega impact in your lives on is.mohanbn@gmail.com
I would love to read them too...............

Self-Cheat > Else-Cheat

Probably everyone one of us in this world is a cheater. At one point or the other in our life we have cheated. Please dont get me wrong. I am not blaming anyone here. Its the basic instinct of any living being on this earth to take the easier path. Seldom do we select the longer and harder path for any of our tasks. I am not against taking easier paths. Any sane mind would always choose the simpler and easier way of doing something than the harder one. But one thing we need to be cautious is that we are not breaking any rules of the game while going for the easier shortcut. Would we take the same shortcut if the monitor of the task is right in front of us? If the answer is YES, cheers! carry on but if the answer is NO, then you have started cheating.

In life we would have witnessed innumerable people who cheat others for different kinds of reasons. They always feel that they were just intelligent enough to fool the other person but they are absolutely wrong. They have forgotten that in the process of cheating someone else they had cheated their own conscience. Lets bring down the level of cheating now. Forget cheating others there are numerous instances when we cheat ourselves. If we can win over this self-cheater we can win over the evil devil of cheating others.

We would have decided that we will be on a diet for next one month but the sight of junk food makes us cheat ourselves to eat it. We would have decided to study for 4 continuous hours but the news of sports update cheats us into watching the game for one hour. We would have committed to work extra in office but the peopleless environment pushes us out of the seat to cheat our own commitment. You would have promised your mom to complete the housework but the thought of your friends partying makes you forget the promise. All the above instances may seem so natural and too silly to be discussed. If so, its how silly you take your own word. If you can cheat yourself, you can cheat anybody in this world.

The choice of cheating the self and taking the alternative path may bring momentary pleasure but never contentment. Try to challenge this inner cheating sense for once. There will be dilemma and negotiation in the mind between you and yourself for sometime but once this confusion subsides you will be able to see the clear path of fulfilling the commitment and the eternal happiness of having self-control rejuvinated. Instance by instance when you grow stronger through this experience of cheating-self versus yourself fight, you will achieve the highest level of self-control. From then on you will never have to yield to the excusitis syndrome and will be able to fulfill every commitment that you make to yourself or others.

After all , life is all about commiting to your dreams and fulfilling them which never gives an option to cheat yourself.

Do let me know what you felt after reading the blog on
