Find your light tower

The world boasts of a diverse population consisting of multi-talented people from all races of life. Each one born on this planet carries an exquisite talent of his own. Life is all about finding the real strengths in oneself, and making sure that all those come to right use for the enhancement of the lives of beings around us in our environment. This being the case, every human needs to know his true potential as early as possible. To find it and use it in the right direction he needs a light tower which can guide him.

This light tower is none other than a mentor. Every human being is a bubbling mass of massive energy and potential. All that one needs to realise is how to channelize this enthusiasm. People keep exploring new things voluntarily until they find something strong that catches their attention for a long span of time. They want to contribute to this world in some way or the other, but are unfortunately unaware of the right ways to do it. A horse which is trained to run in a race can make the jockey win and win good sum of money for the people who have bet on it, but the same horse in a wide open field might run in any direction but won’t make even a single pie. The reason is, in the race there’s a goal and person to keep the horse focused on the direction of the goal. In an open field there is no jockey, nor any kind of direction towards goals. Hence each one of us should find a mentor who can guide us to run in a focused manner towards the goals and dreams that we have set in life. There is no harm or any rupture to our self-esteem if we are ready to accept the guidance of an experienced person. No matter how much we are independent we have to accept the law of nature that we cannot see anything without light.

Choosing a mentor or searching for a mentor doesn’t mean that you don’t know what to do in life or how to do what you want to do. Any person walking can reach from one place to the other in darkness also, but the moment there is a light tower, it shall guide him with light to reach his destination in the safest and  the shortest way possible as he can see things much clearly now. Likewise the addition of a mentor in our lives will always give us more clarity in our paths towards our dreams. Once you reach your destination you not only complete your journey, but you also leave footprints for those who are following. Your footprints might become the direction for someone and that person is right now searching for a mentor like you. Can you be one?

The convincer's power

I have heard it many a times that there's your way, my way and the right way. You tend to hear such statements whenever there are arguments. Coming to arguments which flow to a proper logical end without either of the parties escaping, you can always notice that there is one side which has a strong convincer who has an answer for every argument of the opposition. This convincer has the ability to reverse the debate if he is made to team up with the oppostion side. This is the power of the convincer.
No matter how much ever logical reasoning exists, still it's the ability of the convincer that decides the detination of the debate. No matter whichever side the convincer is shifted to the debate tilts towards that end. In this diverse world with different cultures and different people, nothing is right while nothing is wrong. Some things are right according to some people while the same things are wrong according to some other set of people. No one really knows the real depth of good or bad. So as long as the powerful convincer is able to convince others to follow his path, they shall follow. Whoever has developed the courage, ability and urge to convince others to agree to his viewpoints always wins the debate just by the mere confidence more number of times than the rational reasoning.

This world needs a person who can rule over it. People are confused as to what is right and what is wrong. They need a leader who shall show them the right path but not all shall express this inner feeling of their's. So it's left upto each one of you to decide whether to take hold of the reigns of this world and drive it in the best direction or not. Have an opinion

I was reading the starting few pages of a text book and found that there was a special note to teachers to make the learning more learner-oriented by making it interactive and participative. In order to execute the same I was asking Yes/No type of questions in class for which I expected answers which would be too simple. Somehow not all participated in answering these. Some students remained silent without taking any of the two options with a resort to 'I don't know'. Probably they weren't sure about their answers and hence deferred from participating even in throwing forward a viewpoint. That's when I felt that each person should put forward an opinion irrespective of how sure his/her perception is right about it.

Not everyone is aware of all the things that are happening around. However the corollary doesn't hold the same because everything that's happening around influences each one of us directly or indirectly no matter how ignorant we are about them. Butterfly Effect phenomenon is one of the simple examples to prove that whatever happens on this earth influences all of us for sure. So when everything around is controlling you, it's your right to have a note of all the happenings around you. Not just having a note but also to have an opinion of the same so that you can correct it and improve the situation. On the other hand, even if you are wrong, learn from the learned people the right perception which will elevate your level of growth. Whether your opinion is right or wrong there is advantage on both the ends. God has blessed each one of us with a logical bent of mind which can analyse any situation to our level of maturity with the knowledge of our past experience and exposure. With these prerequisites anyone can calculate for himself to be diligent enough to evaluate the situation of high prominence. Once this can be done, one can arrive at an opinion and not be the person who doesn't have any idea as to what to think.

"Mounam sammathi lakshanam" is one of the famous phrases in regional languages. It means that whenever a person is silent when asked for his/her opinion then it means that he/she has agreed with the same opinion as that of the questioner. Since many of us keep quiet without raising our voices, those few who have an opinion only in the interest of politics convert our silence into their votes. As a result today there is so much of corruption and mismanagement. So it becomes highly essential for each one of us to have at least a simple opinion so that many such frauds can be avoided. It doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong as long as you share your opinion. Do share your opinion on is.mohanbn@gmail.com,

People shall fight

All of us are aware that we need to work to get what we desire for. In one of my previous blogs I had spoken about working and as well as making sure that this work is projected well to yield the result that it deserves. You can refer the blog 'Project your work' for your reference. When one is not rewarded for what one deserves, I had mentioned that one should fight for it and even that is a part of his work. Just 2 days later after writing this blog a superb thought struck my mind which said that when one has genuinely given his best not just him the world around him shall fight for his reward.

A very simple yet profound example that I would like to bring to your notice today is that of Mahatma Gandhiji. He struggled and fought for the freedom of India. When He was arrested by the British no doubt that he fought to get out in order to continue the freedom struggle but even the people fought for the release of the Mahatma. When there were Hindu-Muslim riots happening Gandhiji went on satyagraha without taking any food. Even at that time people fought to stop the fight just for the sake of Gandhiji. The current example we can talk about is Sri Anna Hazare who went on Satyagraha to fight corruption on his own will and wish. People joined hands to end the Satyagraha taken up by Anna by fighting against the government to take reforms to end corruption. I have seen so many posts on facebook wherein people share about the struggle that any person is going through and seek support of all their friends to help that person though they are not even connected to the struggling person directly. I still remember one of the unforgettable incidents in my past in schooldays when I was slapped by the principal for no fault of mine. At that time though my self-defence couldn't resolve the situation completely, it was few friends of mine who stood by me and proved my innocence regarding the incident. When you are RIGHT people shall fight for you.

Remember folks! keep continuing your genuine work irrespective of the results and the opinions of people. Give your best to what you're doing and keep an account of all that you're doing as well. World has become a nasty place that asks for your Life certificate though you're standing in front of it alive. So you will have to fight to get what you deserve. When you are contributing your work towards the progress of the people around you, be very sure and happy that the people around you shall fight for what you deserve.

The Right Time

Knowledge is in abundance around us. Lessons are in million numbers. Theories and agendas are running pages together in books lying in the libraries. Immemse wisdom circulates through the brains of highly intellectual people whom we are surrounded with. Stories of rags to riches and solutions for all problems in the world are printed and picturised in movies. Yet not even a single person on this earth knows every lesson of life or every solution to a problem. The reason is not just because the information world is vast. The reason is also that the discovery of a solution happens only when the person faces the problem.

'Necessity is the mother of all inventions'. This quote is so famous that even a school going child knows this. The reason for every invention that has happened was the necessity of it that demanded the invention to happen. Bringing this concept at the individualistic level, everyone of us learn new lessons and find solutions to problems only when we require it. It all happens at the right time. Sometimes we feel that we know the answers for certain questions posed by life but later we realise how cliched our answers were when we really face these questions in life. Very few among us actually put an effort to learn solutions even before the problem occurs. Most of us search for solutions only when the problem occurs. Probably this is the law of nature as the first statement of this paragraph says. I am not inclined towards whether you find the solution before or at the time of the problem because I believe in either case solution works only when the problem occurs. Therefore I am fine as long as you find the solution.

Its always necessary as human beings that we grow in our wisdom and intellect day by day. But we know that this growth happens only when we start learning new lessons and solutions to new problems. New questions and problems arise only when you start venturing into new activities and new information. Hence I would recommend my dear reader to expand your horizons of learning and increase your areas of interest so that you get a chance to learn as much as possible and also exercise your skills in every direction because we know that the learning will happen at the right time when you encounter the situation that demands.
Its tough to expect a feedback after you've spent so much of your time and energy to read through the entire blog. Still with a positive hope I share my online addresses - is.mohanbn@gmail.com
