Questions and Answers

The world would have been completely silent and calm if we hadn't had the fortune of speaking to each other. I am damn sure that, my dear reader, you are able to hear my voice in your head right now. You might be just reading what I have written here, but definitely there is a voice running deep down in your brain which is not audible to the outside world but, for sure loud enough for your head. Communication forms the intricate part of establishing a bond in any relation. It involves just exchange of opinions. Whenever no discussions are happening, then it only means that there are a lot of questions building up in our minds. All you need to do at such points of time is to throw the questions and get the answers. If you are on the other end of the table as a leader then pull out the questions and give the right answers. Questions and answers have the power to calm down all highs and lows of our feelings and emotions.

People would have been more than happy if everyone around them did exactly as they expected each one of them to do. Unfortunately, what happens in a human's brain seldom reaches the people around. As a result, exchange of ideas, thoughts and feelings in terms of words are very essential. Sometimes, or should I say, a lot of times not all the points made satisfy a person's appetite for information or confirmation of the information received. At such times, there are always possibilities of confusions, distrust, emotional conflicts and a whole lot of other silly issues to creep up. The assumptions that build due to too much of gap in communication also submerge the truth and the reality and build a mountain of unnecessary heap on top of the objectives, due to which the complete essence of the objectives is forgotten. The arguments and disagreements arise. Losers give up fighting on such issues to resolve them either due to ego or laziness. But a leader must take the stand. He must be ready to put down his ego, crush it and take the first step to make the person in front of him sit, and help in solve the queries bothering the relation. Heaps of irrelevant and irrational questions need to be answered until the true objective surfaces itself. Every human being is at least blessed with the ability to realise the importance of lost objectives, and when made realised to be ready to relearn them. Some souls get their ego as a defence just to win the argument rather than the true discussion or the objectives. Once again you need to question and get the answer or answer the same old question until the ego is satisfied.

The biggest role of a leader comes to picture here. A leader must be ready to dig into the mountain of doubts and uncertainties that people carry in them, due to which, neither they proceed in life, nor allow someone else to move ahead in life. A leader's job is to make people answer the questions and thus form a channel for them to leak out all their negativity so that positivity can be filled into them. The process is not as easy as it can be spoken about or written or read. It's a tough job of a leader and only a leader can take up such tough challenges and solve them to make the world a better place to live in for people around him.

Marketing in the market

The world around us is just too vast and wide and there are people in all directions. Each one is buying something or the other regularly. People spend on food, entertainment, clothes, sports, medicines, properties, rights, patents, investments, and a lot of other unknown stuff too. Each one of them is trying to either gather more things into life or enjoy the temporary experience like the taste of an ice-cream through expenditure of money. There is a huge market out there because people earn to spend their money. Only thing they need to be convinced is on what they are spending. Convincing need not happen logically also. So, if you are marketing any of your products or services then you have to decode that illogical instinctive reasoning for them to buy because people don't buy out of logic, they buy out of instinct.

Law of averages has always taught the sales and marketing team that not everyone you explain your product to necessarily need to buy your product. There will be a huge chunk of people who shall reject not just your product but you too. Marketing is only focused at reaching out to people with the information and awareness about your product. Those who realise the worth of your product at the first shot itself would go ahead to buy. Or I can put it as, that set of people whom you're able to convince just with your presentation shall go to buy your product. This portion of people is generally smaller. Next comes the huge section of the market which needs to be reminded about your product time and again. This portion of the market doesn't exactly know where to spend the money. Anyone persuading them to pay the money shall get them as the customer base. So, marketing doesn't stop until the targets are reached. Marketing is independent on the portion of the market that buys your product. The reason is the market is diverse and very large to even measure. No matter how much volumes of your product you produce, you shall never be able to reach out to the entire market of seven billion plus people on this earth. Hence the marketing spree has to continue until you have earned enough to purchase your bread and butter.

Since marketing cannot assure the right time and date by when all the sales will happen, it needs to continue and only catch up more speed and fire as time passes by. Counting the number of people who buy your product against the number of people whom you informed about your product is the biggest mistake a marketer can do. The market is too huge for your to not be able sell your product. A person shall spend his money elsewhere if not on your product. Not every expenditure of his is highly profitable and essential. So, instead spending anywhere else let him spend the same amount on your product. Don't give up until then. A marketer who gives up marketing shall only mean to give up his means to survive.

A glimpse about ebooks

Nowadays we find lot of people reading, playing, talking, enjoying and doing hundred of other things just on their electronic gadgets. Mobile phones, tablets, phablets, PCs, laptops have changed the way of life from what it was just about 2 decades back. All the knowledge that we accumulate is either by reading or listening. Coming to reading part, books were the main source of information until the advent of internet. With internet entering our households, schools and universities from cyber centres, internet became a powerful storehouse of information in-house and books got reduced to certain extent. About just 5-6 years back, with internet entering our smartphones alongwith launch of tablets in the market, lot of people have moved away from traditional printed books to ebooks.

More than 60% of the population in US relies on ebooks for information. Since the preservation of old books in the form of paper is becoming difficult, they are converted into ebooks for eternal preservation of information. Moreover ebooks avoid the carrying of heavy books and save on the printing cost. They also help in reducing the cutting down of trees for paper. However few people do argue that ebooks with all the hyperlinks in them make it easy for readers to get distracted towards some other content and hence the whole purpose of reading a book is defeated. Still many favour the same as an advantage as it helps to refer a lot many sources at one single place without running around to fetch different books. ebooks are available at affordable costs on online centres such as iBookstore, Amazon's kindle, Aldiko reader and lot of other e-retailers and can be bought with just few clicks of a button and online shopping. With the ebooks era, competition to acquire the ebooks market share is also growing. Some ebooks are being sold for a mere cost of 2cents while some free of cost just to encourage more and more people to get engaged to the habit of reading books online on their smart devices.

India and brazil are the next big markets for ebooks industry though it is still in its nascent stage in these two countries. 17 to 24% of adults having access to internet have bought an ebook from these countries. With growing middle class economy and availability of economic smartphone-like devices, the growth of ebooks industry is forecasted to be very positive in coming years. Some even predict that in next 50 years, printed books might become extinct and be only found in museums as almost everyone would be reading ebooks. Do research more on ebooks as it is one of the modern age businesses. Do pass on your suggestions on ebooks on

Observe to absorb

Observation is one of the strongest powers that's hidden in us. Unfortunately not many of us make use of it properly. The main reason is the urgency to know stuff much before others. So we jump out asking questions to get our answers quickly to satisfy the needs of our inquisitiveness. I am definitely not against asking questions. In fact it is one of the best ways to learn. Only condition that I have is that questions should be thrown after good amount of observation is done and when one is unable to interpret further.

Let's take a simple example of observing a flower. If one takes a flower in his hand and starts observing it carefully from the point where it originates from the twig till the tip of each petal, one can observe so many different parts. Some of the parts might be even unknown to him. This will spring up a lot of questions about the unknowns in the mind. Then the mind shall start storing the descriptions of each part deeply observed. Next time when one is actually engaged in the study of the flower he will be easily able to recognise and also remember all the parts. However a person who would have just seen but not observed a flower has every chance to forget or confuse between different parts of the flower. Observation registers images in our memory and images store loads of information. Hence I named this blog as observe to absorb.

Not just with a flower, people lose patience in happenings around them and repent due to this ignorance later. A simple observation of how people talk can reveal the real intentions behind their talk. Observing silence and smile of a girl can lent out the amount of love she has for you in her heart. Some of the greatest legends have not been those who read a lot of books, they have been those who observed a lot of people, places and situations. You can write to me on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Don't bore to the core

None of us intentionally want to get bored nor be a boring person. We want to live an interesting life and gain other people's interest in us as well. The simple rule is to give what you want to get. So if you don't want to get bored then make sure that you are not boring someone else. So how do we not bore is the core of this blog. Courtesy the experiences my team has had and suggestions made by our team leader, this blog shall solve your PR problems. {PR -people relations}

When does a person get bored? When s/he faces things repeatedly in the same old fashion. Eg: students are bored of lectures, employees of bored of working, wives are bored of cooking, teachers are bored of teaching. When does a person not get bored? When s/he faces something new which the person is willing to know and learn. I hope you have got your answers. If not, read further. Let's focus on not what we want to not get bored but on what we can deliver to not bore others. Whenever you are meeting the same person again, make sure you have a new information to convey. If you are meeting someone who wants to learn from you, make sure that you have something new and of next level than what s/he knows already to teach. If it's your client, make sure you have a new project or a product that the client can enjoy having and experiencing.

Know that for providing new everytime you will also have to undergo lot of research on what the person likes/dislikes and search for new things. Correct? Completely wrong. If you are a person who wants to keep yourself continually happy and excited and don't want to get bored then you will automatically learn and know new things and become an interesting person who neither get bored nor bores others. If I haven't bored you with this blog, then feel free to pour in your feedback on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Decide to not ask

I remember the famous thought stated by my dear birthdaymate Albert Einstein which goes like this -"I thank all those who denied to help me because of which I could learn and do all of it by myself". Probably due to time and knowledge constraints not everyone of us may be able to follow this statement though we agree with the same. There are innumerable situations that come in our lives where we are entrusted upon with certain work and we start searching for all those who can help us in that regard. Sometimes we are lucky enough to receive the help that we expect whilst sometimes we are at the end of receiving rejections as well.

The decision to not ask for help is one of the toughest decisions that you can take in any scenario. I am not suggesting one to stop asking people for information or service. When the source of any information or service is a specific individual and you cannot afford to have it done by yourself you may ask for their service in return of some payment but when you are self-aware about the algorithm to reach the information or the skill to learn the work to be done you might just be leaning one someone else for help even if its in the form of payment and might end up on the side of losing the experience. When you decide not to ask for help in any form your mind is forced to search for everyway to get the information you need to perform your work except for asking someone else. This provides enough force on the brain to innovate new ideas to accomplish the work at hand and that is where all your creativity will burst out. This process of punishing helplessness on oneself is a bit tough when you can see knowledge modules moving just around you but its quiet necessary to evacuate the dependency quotient from within and fill in the confidence to accomplish anything all by alone self.

Take any inventor for that matter who innovated something that didn't exist before. He or she was forced to think on creating something that didn't exist just by using the existing components and no one else knew the procedure for the same and hence it was helplessness forced upon by the surrounding environment that made him or her to invent what he/she did. You will explore the solution provider in yourself for any problem you face when you take up the complete ownership of solving any problem that you come across by yourself just by deciding not to ask anyone else for help.
