It's yours as long as it's not exhibited

I would want to quote the simple example of Sachin Tendulkar and Steve Jobs before I jump into the details of this blog. Sachin was very passionate about cricket and started playing on the streets as a child. As time went by he started playing for his region as well and finally reached the Indian team. He was just displaying his talent whenever he went for selections. Once his talent was sufficiently exhibited it became a responsibility on him to play well as the pride of his country was at stake. So his talent was no more his alone, it became an asset for the nation and the team. Steve Jobs started the company Apple and designed computers, tablets and phones based on his idea of user interface satisfaction. Once his initial products became successful among the masses, people started expecting really quality products and out of the world design for the products from APPLE. They were even ready to wait in queue to buy its products. Once Steve Jobs technical talent was exhibited to the world no more it remained restricted to him alone, it became a hope for a better life for the world. The same trend continues with Apple company even today as well even after the demise of the great soul.

Dear friends, you are a source of unlimited bunch of talents. Don't hide it from the world. Exhibit each one of them. You are the medium chosen by God to contribute your talents for the progress of the world. The talent remains your asset as long as only you know about it. The moment it comes into the light of the common man's eye and he sees the worth and virtue of it, the talent gets shared between you and the world. From then onwards you just remain a mere source of your talent and it shall find its destination in the hearts of the world. This is what will bind you to the world just like how a drop of water in an ocean forms a part of the ocean irrespective of its individuality. So you don't have to be highly secure about your talent. Just be aware that your talent is at the service of the world and exhibit it more and more number of times to a larger audience of the world. Don't feel shy to write to me about your talents on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

A day to never forget

Indian Independence day is a mark in the world history to resemble the significance of non-violence. We have been celebrating independence day from a long time since our childhood. Hoisting flags, distributing sweets and chocolates, singing national anthems etc have been our natural process of celebrating our independence day but today was the day when few youth of Bangalore decided to celebrate the same day in a rather different way. They decided to make a small mark of their own in the Indian history today. I am just so happy to share the experience of this exciting day with all my lovely readers.

Around 70+ youth gathered in the morning at 9:30am in S.R.N.Adarsh College. The Inspiration Unlimited team and the founder Er.Sujit Lalwani were there to arrange series of events as part of their corporate social responsibility under the banner of "IUCares". All the students were seggregated into 14 different teams first. Each team chose a team name, team colour and team leader. Then one by one teams were sent to a task room where they were assigned different tasks to create a positive social impact. Each team was assigned with just three hours to complete their task. Some of the tasks were like fund raising to buy meals, stationery, books, vicks, dental kits, soaps etc and donate them to the needy in different areas of bangalore. Some had to visit old age homes, orphanages to celebrate independence day with the people there, some had to collect statistics and data regarding the state of the areas in bangalore. All the teams were really excited to work in the hot sun in a team of complete strangers but yet contribute something to the society on ocassion of independence day. Students learnt different lessons in due course of the journey, understood the real situation of our country, felt really happy for celebrating this day in such a fantastic practical manner. After the activity all the teams shared the photos and videos they had taken during the tasks and shared a presentation of their project with the best energetic feeling. Each one of them was present from morning 10 am till evening 7 pm to create a positive difference in the society.

Hats off to the management of S.R.N.Adarsh College for their commendable support to this special activity. May more students take part in such activity time and again. Let's not wait for independence day to create such positive impact on the society. I welcome everyone of you to participate, learn and contribute alongwith IUcares. A brilliant salute to IUteam as well which during this entire busy schedule created a website and started off with facebook pages for IUcares to promote all the noble activities. How do Winners think

First of all let me make it clear that winners are not a set of people who are born winners right from birth, I am talking about the winner attitude here. There was a very nice statement that I had heard from my Mathematics lecturer in college 'Everyone is good, everyone is bad, only the percentage varies'. Just elaborating this statement, everyone has every possible attitude inside, the question is which one he/she develops the most and showcases to the world. In this particular blog I would like to talk about the winner attitude which is very essential to lead a life that's worth living. Before I start I would like to quote the famous oneliner of Mr. Shiv Khera - "Winners don't do different things, they do things differently".

Oftentimes we might have noticed around us that there are people for whom nothing is impossible, they seem to have all the energy, all the time, all the knowledge that is required. Its not the question about time or effort or knowledge or intelligence or anything else, its all in the attitude and that is the attitude of a winner. Winners always see the results first in their mind and then bring it into reality irrespective of whether other people agree to their imagination or not. Winners are never taken aback by anyone's lame comments because they are very sure and honest in their trials. Even if they fail in achieving something that was planned, they have the egolessness to accept their mistake and the childlike curiosity to unlearn their faults and relearn the right methods. Winners are not selfish to win only for their ownsake at the cost of hurting someone else. They keep in mind the well-being of their peers before doing anything. Winners know it clearly well that celebrations come for one day after days of hardwork and perseverence. They always know that they will be the winners and that is the reason they behave always like winners. They clearly know that there are never any shortcuts to hardwork. They know very well the consistent consistency that is required to be a winner. They know that the games keep changing and new challenges keep coming up, so they can't rest after winning over few problems of life, they continue to play the game of life and its hurdles as passionately as a kid forever. They clearly understand the mortality of human life and hence strive hard to accomplish and contribute as much as possible in one single life.

How people think is the way how people do things in life. If you have a reason for not doing something, someone else has a reason of doing the same thing. The world can never stop for you, the time is eternal and always ticking and we have a limited amout of time on this planet earth. Lets develop the winner attitude in us which will not just specialise our area of expertise but will expand our credibilities in every field that we step into. I didn't want to use the antonym of winners in this blog because winners don't even like to think about that subject. Their thinking is just pure enough to concentrate on winning.
