STAY CALM; STAY FOCUSED

All that I can do at this point of time is laugh at the turn of events in life. It makes me wonder just like how my mentor wondered once upon a time, “Why is God doing all these things?” As I see things unfolding from a higher plane it becomes quite difficult to even anticipate which pawn He is going to play from which direction. It is His world and He has all the rights to move around things and take anyone of us for a ride. I have learnt that we must stay calm and focused with complete belief and faith in Him that He is acting only in our favour. No one can even contemplate why something happened. He knows it all. I bow to Him. I shall stay calm and stay focused.

There are two ways to look at life, or rather lead life. Decide what kind of a life you want and work hard to convert everything in your favour until you get to live the life you want. The second option is- accept the chain of events as they come in life and take the given ride. Everyone has an option to choose the kind of life one wishes to live. The second option is pretty straight forward. Hence there is nothing much to discuss on it. The first option is quite interesting. It teaches you that you can’t demand from life whatever you want. You need to earn every bit of what you desire to deserve it. The turmoil, be it emotional or physical, shall attack you, either separately or together. Be strong at such points of time. Reacting to any situation shall only make matters more worse. Stay calm and tell your heart, “ALL IZZ WELL” in 3 Idiots style and know that every problem has a solution. Don’t let your focus divert from the end result that you have already envisioned to happen. Your belief is tested by these temporary challenges. They are short lived. Being loaded with many negative thoughts gathered from past experiences of life, even the mind might undergo the fight to maintain itself positive. Stay calm!

There can be no achievement in life which can be accomplished without facing the tough challenges of life. Achievement that is achieved without any obstacles overcome sounds as no achievement at all. Stay focused on your goal and shield your mind with the strongest weapon called “BELIEF”. Every coming trouble should only go back disappointed that it couldn’t even shake you a bit. No one knows which decisions are right and which ones are wrong. Taking decision is a responsibility and one must stand up as a leader to take decisions. One should be ready to even fight to make the decisions right after being taken. To carry out such responsibilities on your shoulders during the most critical juncture of your life you need a mentor to guide you how to handle the burden. I am lucky to have one and I am happy if this blog post can guide some, who miss a mentor in life. You need to stay calm to take adequate decisions and stay focused to make the right set of moves to receive what you believe.

Set a new zero

Life happens in different stages. Every stage is a step to reach the next stage. While you're climbing the steps you need to climb one after the other or two after two based on your agility. However every step you take requires the same amount of energy and efforts. Climbing the first step is as equivalent as climbing the 10th step from the 9th step. Likewise in life also, to climb from one stage to the other the amount of energy and efforts required are the same. We cannot bank upon our previous achievements and work and hence become complacent or ignorant towards the amount of hard work required. We have to set a new starting point for ourselves, a new ZERO standard.

Once you set a new standard of zero for yourself, you shall forget all that you've achieved till now in life. There is no pressure of performance and you are just like a free bird who can fly as high as your heart wishes to go. The freedom of mind is more than essential to make new stories happen. There is no limit to the achievements and accomplishments that one can amass in his kitty. It's all in the game of mind. You need to tell yourself when you're at the peaks that you shall break open the gates of complacency and restrictions set upon your mind just because of the self image that you have built. A new image is awaiting to share your persona. Any new idol is formed only when we have the absolutely-no-form clay lump. A deformed idol cannot form a new idol for us. Hence we need to bring back ourselves to ground zero to re-launch ourselves.

Many might have a doubt whether we will lose out on everything and start all of a sudden newly when we reset our life at zero once again. It's not going to be that way at all. When you set your standards to be zero, your experiences don't become null. They shall back you up for sure. Your expectations out of yourself reduce because nothing much is expected out of a novice. The fun in planning for optimum utilization of resources ceases to exist with overly available resources. The loveliest part of life is not the number of times we succeed alone but the number of times we fail and bounce back to success. This can happen only if we allow ourselves to fail. Except for the beginner's luck, someone who starts or restarts at zero is bound to fail to learn the next lesson of life only to enhance the productivity multifold. Let's set a new zero in our life every time we grow old and make ourselves young once again.

Do once; promote a 100 times

We live more than a zillion moments in our life but seldom do we remember each one of them or rather I should say, seldom there is a need to remember all of them. But we definitely remember those significant moments of our life which we lived our best probably some which were too emotional to us, some which marked the turning points of our life and so on. Achievements and accomplishments of any kind of big work or an award from our past always linger on our mind and tongue for sure no matter even if we have done them just once.

It's quite natural that you would have heard about how your grandparents had to walk miles together to their school in their childhood. You would have definitely heard about your aunts and uncles who were the best students of their class of their times and were the so-called toppers of those times. Might be you yourself might have got some really good rank in some entrance exam or might have been a champion winning awards in some sorts of sports. You might have even cracked a business deal that was worth a fortune. The best part about all these one-time struggle and success is that we can promote them as long as we live and no one can dare question us as they have already got imprinted in the pages of history. Every single time promotion of any one of these always takes us back to those old memories and we are even able to feel the same emotions. A milestone once covered always serves as the medium of experience sharing with the new generation.

Similar to the past, even in the future obstacles and challenges will keep coming. Just remember that you will have to surpass and win over them just once and later you can narrate the story a hundred times without any fear. I limit it to hundred times only because I believe that you would have surpassed even more milestones by the time you complete promoting the earlier achievement a hundred times. How do Winners think

First of all let me make it clear that winners are not a set of people who are born winners right from birth, I am talking about the winner attitude here. There was a very nice statement that I had heard from my Mathematics lecturer in college 'Everyone is good, everyone is bad, only the percentage varies'. Just elaborating this statement, everyone has every possible attitude inside, the question is which one he/she develops the most and showcases to the world. In this particular blog I would like to talk about the winner attitude which is very essential to lead a life that's worth living. Before I start I would like to quote the famous oneliner of Mr. Shiv Khera - "Winners don't do different things, they do things differently".

Oftentimes we might have noticed around us that there are people for whom nothing is impossible, they seem to have all the energy, all the time, all the knowledge that is required. Its not the question about time or effort or knowledge or intelligence or anything else, its all in the attitude and that is the attitude of a winner. Winners always see the results first in their mind and then bring it into reality irrespective of whether other people agree to their imagination or not. Winners are never taken aback by anyone's lame comments because they are very sure and honest in their trials. Even if they fail in achieving something that was planned, they have the egolessness to accept their mistake and the childlike curiosity to unlearn their faults and relearn the right methods. Winners are not selfish to win only for their ownsake at the cost of hurting someone else. They keep in mind the well-being of their peers before doing anything. Winners know it clearly well that celebrations come for one day after days of hardwork and perseverence. They always know that they will be the winners and that is the reason they behave always like winners. They clearly know that there are never any shortcuts to hardwork. They know very well the consistent consistency that is required to be a winner. They know that the games keep changing and new challenges keep coming up, so they can't rest after winning over few problems of life, they continue to play the game of life and its hurdles as passionately as a kid forever. They clearly understand the mortality of human life and hence strive hard to accomplish and contribute as much as possible in one single life.

How people think is the way how people do things in life. If you have a reason for not doing something, someone else has a reason of doing the same thing. The world can never stop for you, the time is eternal and always ticking and we have a limited amout of time on this planet earth. Lets develop the winner attitude in us which will not just specialise our area of expertise but will expand our credibilities in every field that we step into. I didn't want to use the antonym of winners in this blog because winners don't even like to think about that subject. Their thinking is just pure enough to concentrate on winning.
