Restarting the Reign

After quite a pause post the reign of blogging 555+ blog posts during the period of 2012-2013, once again I am jumping back to the field of daily blogging. During this time of silence many of my readers were asking me the reason for not updating my blog on a daily basis. Well! The pause was for a reason. New developments have taken place and a small surprise shall be out soon which took shape during this time of blogging silence. I am eagerly looking forward to the day on which I can release the cat out of the bag. Just like how after every night there comes a day with light, after a long pause even I am back on daily blogging promising to share my experiences and lessons with my dear audience on a daily basis. I am overwhelmed that finally, I am back into the field that I rock!

In History, I used to study of kings and emperors who established their empires and kingdoms by conquering other states. Their reigns used to start in new places. After sometime due to different reasons they used to recede back to their original kingdoms. Once again they used to prepare much better, launch a war, re-conquer the kingdoms and restart their reigns. There have been many rulers in the past who took the king's position the second time after stepping down the first time. A king's duty is to lead the kingdom whenever the circumstances demand no matter how old he is or how tired he is of the king's job. Likewise blogging, especially daily blogging has been that field of mine which I ruled for quite some time for more than one and half years. It's time to restart my reign of daily blogging once again no matter how busy my schedule gets or what time I reach back home at night. I am all set and ready for the challenge. This thought of restarting had been running around in my mind for some time, but today I have hammered it down and the proof is that you're reading my first blog post for the day, for the month, as well as for the New Year 2014. All that I realised during this phase was that there is always an option to restart whatever you have stopped in the past no matter what all and how many were the reasons for pausing (not stopping).

Many people tend to end their passions and hobbies during the school days as they get busy with competitive exams and the college life. Many of the same set stop their exploring and enjoying nature as they get busy with their professional and adult life (post-marriage phase). As the years pass people turn back to see a decade that has run away putting all their dreams and passions below its wheels. Then they think of restarting their passions but neither have the touch of those nor the zeal to pursue them with the highest motivation. Hence they see no means of restarting and continue to drift with life as it takes them. The human generation has seen major catastrophes and erosion of civilizations. In spite of such massive disasters the human life has restarted inhabiting the same arenas. If life can restart from ashes then our passion can also restart in our lives. Press the restart button on all those dreams and passions of yours for which you had pushed the stop button for a temporary interval of time.

"IT" is LIFE...!

Let's see what the author has to say this time with the quote "It Hurts... It Kills... It Teaches... It Thrills... "IT" Is LIFE...!" To remind all my new readers, this quote has been taken from the book 'Life Simplified!' by Sujit Lalwani who is a star international speaker and an entrepreneur. He has come up with his first book which claims to simplify lives of many. In this particular quote, he speaks about 'Life' which each one of us are going through.

Life is the only school that provides various kinds of experiences and knowledge that are necessary to succeed in our life. Not just with providing the necessary essentials, it also poses challenging tests time and again to examine our potential. The higher you grow in life, the higher the level of difficulty of the circumstances around us. There are many instances in life during which we almost go to the extent of hating life because it hurts us so much at those exact instants of time. Coming to the point of killing, life definitely cannot kill us, it just makes us feel the pain what one feels when one is killed. The reason 'it hurts' and 'it kills' have been given first is because only through such emotions when we travel and get out do we understand what life wanted to teach us. That's why the next phrase is 'It teaches'. After we have learned the lessons of life, definitely we rejoice all those tough moments and enjoy the thrill of the roller-coaster ride of life and hence the phrase 'it thrills'.

At the end of the day, it's just that one single life that becomes a teacher in iteslf to empower us. Hence the last phrase says that life is the only entity that can make you go through all the different types of emotions that a human being can go through. There is no point blaming life at any point of time because life was never meant to be easy, it was always meant to be made interesting, says Sujit Lalwani. Collecting new experiences

Last few days I have been in a spree of meeting people and learning about what they have done and how's their past been. Due to the
people from diverse backgrounds whom I have met, I have learned many lessons and also understood about the human psychology partially. As a reason of these meetings, I have got immeasurable understanding about how people of different age and belonging to different backgrounds think and act. I cannot definitely claim that I understand everything but surely I understand a bit better now than before.

We have got one single life and in that we have a very limited amount of time. It is definitely impossible for us to go through all the possible experiences in the world. So sharing the stories of our personal experiences and listening to others' experiences are the only ways through which we can assimilate variety of experiences which help our wisdom grow. This inturn shall help us to handle various challenges ahead in life. Not just an advantage for us, by collecting new experiences from others we gather sufficient knowledge that we can guide some other person who is undergoing a similar situation like one of the experiences that we have gathered from other people. More the amount of varied experiences, more the problems that can be solved because problems are limited in variety but are applicable to many people. So a single experience of one person who has solved a problem is sufficient to solve the same problem of thousand others.

The best way to make a collection of new experiences of many people is by meeting and talking to a large number of people. In today's busy world, people seldom find their close ones to be free to discuss in detail about all the experiences that they have undergone till now. As a result people are ready to share their experiences with someone who has the patience to listen to them. So just be a good listener and you can take away a baggage of experiences. Sow the seed of sharing

Sharing becomes such an integral part of our life as we grow up. The human mind/heart (you can choose whichever makes more sense to you) is incapable of holding all the experiences, facts and figures that one goes through in life. Probably the only reason a person accumulates knowledge is to share it is what I feel. Wow!!!!! this can be an enitrely different blog altogether. What say? Ok, let's come back to the sharing part. So when do people share?

People share with friends or relatives with whom they feel close enough, whom they think shall understand their situations. I am sure that you have heard it numerous times that children share all that happen in school at home just like how parents share all that happen in office at home. So there must be a starting point for this sharing somewhere. Let's take a hypothetical situation. When you are among your friends and you start a topic of movies and share your recent facts about it what are you expecting next? It's undeniable that the other person shall shell out his/her facts about movies and start sharing whatever recent things that s/he has heard about movies. This type of an experience happened to me very recently. When I was taking a session for kids in a school, I just shared about my accident and how I got hurt, immediately the kids started sharing their experiences of having got hurt. I had sown the seed of sharing.

Sharing is what makes each one know more about the other person that eventually strengthens the relationship. So if you want to know what other person has been through just sow the seed for sharing by sharing few of your past incidents relating to that of the other person that you want to know. Remember sharing is caring! You can post your comments on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

People are different so are their definitions

I am damn sure that you would have heard people saying 'according to me', ' my definition of ___ is' and so on. I always keep wondering when I hear such statements as to why the dictionaries exist at all. Oxford, Longman and many others have struggled to build such wonderful collection of words and their meanings. I just feel sorry for them when people come up with their own definitions and meanings for the most common words.

People are different and so are their definitions. I purposefully wanted to touch upon this topic because I have been involved in many situations of conflict of definitions. Anyways I can't blame anyone of having their own definitions because everyone evolves one's own definitions based on the environment and the experiences of life. Since no two people have the same graph of life no two people can be expected to have the same definitions and that is where the conflicts start arising. No point in blaming on the differences as they exist by default. We should at least concentrate on avoiding conflicts further by trying to understand the definitions of others. Now one might feel that only his/her own definitions are correct and need not adjust to that of the others. I so agree with you because I also feel the same but  do you remember our previous blog 'Feel, felt, found'?

In order to avoid conflict first learn about the definition of the other person. Then analyse if the same definition suits you as well. If yes then there's no conflict, if not then analyse the other person's definition. If the relationship with this person really matters to you then you may go ahead and discuss to arrive at a common definition, else you might just ignore as long as there is no conflict.
