Restarting the Reign

After quite a pause post the reign of blogging 555+ blog posts during the period of 2012-2013, once again I am jumping back to the field of daily blogging. During this time of silence many of my readers were asking me the reason for not updating my blog on a daily basis. Well! The pause was for a reason. New developments have taken place and a small surprise shall be out soon which took shape during this time of blogging silence. I am eagerly looking forward to the day on which I can release the cat out of the bag. Just like how after every night there comes a day with light, after a long pause even I am back on daily blogging promising to share my experiences and lessons with my dear audience on a daily basis. I am overwhelmed that finally, I am back into the field that I rock!

In History, I used to study of kings and emperors who established their empires and kingdoms by conquering other states. Their reigns used to start in new places. After sometime due to different reasons they used to recede back to their original kingdoms. Once again they used to prepare much better, launch a war, re-conquer the kingdoms and restart their reigns. There have been many rulers in the past who took the king's position the second time after stepping down the first time. A king's duty is to lead the kingdom whenever the circumstances demand no matter how old he is or how tired he is of the king's job. Likewise blogging, especially daily blogging has been that field of mine which I ruled for quite some time for more than one and half years. It's time to restart my reign of daily blogging once again no matter how busy my schedule gets or what time I reach back home at night. I am all set and ready for the challenge. This thought of restarting had been running around in my mind for some time, but today I have hammered it down and the proof is that you're reading my first blog post for the day, for the month, as well as for the New Year 2014. All that I realised during this phase was that there is always an option to restart whatever you have stopped in the past no matter what all and how many were the reasons for pausing (not stopping).

Many people tend to end their passions and hobbies during the school days as they get busy with competitive exams and the college life. Many of the same set stop their exploring and enjoying nature as they get busy with their professional and adult life (post-marriage phase). As the years pass people turn back to see a decade that has run away putting all their dreams and passions below its wheels. Then they think of restarting their passions but neither have the touch of those nor the zeal to pursue them with the highest motivation. Hence they see no means of restarting and continue to drift with life as it takes them. The human generation has seen major catastrophes and erosion of civilizations. In spite of such massive disasters the human life has restarted inhabiting the same arenas. If life can restart from ashes then our passion can also restart in our lives. Press the restart button on all those dreams and passions of yours for which you had pushed the stop button for a temporary interval of time.

Take your writing to the next level

As I have been blogging for a pretty good time now for more than 500 days, I have found out that or rather I have realized that repetition takes away the flavour from the writing. I have to innovate something new either in terms of concept or writing style or vocabulary or point of view or narration to make the article more interesting and intriguing for my readers to read. Along with impressing the readers with my writing art and school of thought, I also need to satisfy the writing artist inside me who is unhappy staying at the same level of art. He wants to move to the next level.

In this blog post I want to share some of the inhibitions that I had to shed during the course of my blogging career and the amendments that I had to make to my writing style to make it more challenging so that it motivates me to continue pursuing my passion for blogging. One of the factors that always challenged me was the consistency. Whenever I missed blogging, I used to feel a high amount of guilt which would push me to make up by writing two blog posts the next day. The mental pressure to maintain consistency helped me continue blogging for so long. When I had to express the same emotions with the same words, it somewhat irritated me. I felt as if I was bound just by the same words for these emotions time and again. That's when I started to search for new words which could express the same emotions. Hence my vocabulary improved.

These two are basic examples which improved my blogging and writing skills. Thanks to Almighty and my mentor that I have been able to coach people on blogging front nowadays. I have been entrusted with the responsibility of judging blogs of young bloggers and I hope I have done justice to the trust vested in my judging capacity. Adding pictures has definitely elevated my blog posts to a visual plane which catches the eyes of the reader who lands on my blog and drags him into reading the blog post. With every progressing day I just try to take my writing to the next level.

The reason I started blogging

I think it was in my 4th year of engineering that I started blogging. This was the first phase of my blogging when I blogged 7 posts. The main reason I had started out to blog was to improve my vocabulary to fare well in the GRE test which I never took up till now. GRE is taken up to pursue post-graduation studies abroad after engineering. As I was willing to take up higher studies after my engineering I started preparing for GRE.

I used to choose ten words from the book which had the whole list of thousands of unknown words to me, learn their synonyms, meanings and make sentences using them. Since I had to practise them and remember them for a long time, I thought I would write a blog which shall be a combination of all the sentences containing the new ten words learnt for the day. Also I needed someone to evaluate if my understanding was correct. Hence everyday, after writing the blog I used to send the link to one of my friends by name Sushanth and get it corrected by him. He was a champ in both Mathematics and English. It was a very good practice to take up new words everyday and inculcate them in my daily communication to develop my vocabulary. By writing them down, it could go deeper into my memory. Though this process didn't last long enough, it definitely improved my confidence in speaking English and eventually helped me develop my English speaking skills.

This was a very simple method that anyone could use to pick up few new words a day and start using them which would help to improve speaking, reading and writing. However this activity was the reason that I entered the world of blogging. Though it was a long pause after the initial set of 7 blogs, blogging has just become a part of my daily life today. Incessant Practice to Perfection

Just 2 days back I had written a blog named as 'Create Thyself' wherein I wanted to convey the message that any person can become what he/she wants to be by developing any talent or skill that he/she desires to through proper planning and dedicated efforts. After this blog I got some questions from people as to how one can develop a new skill all of a sudden. To answer these doubts and questions I come up with the current blog 'Incessant Practice to Perfection'.

No one can ever develop any talent or skill all of a sudden. Everything takes time to grow and develop. We know that nourishment, minerals, water and sunlight help a seedling to grow into a tree. Similary persistence, perseverence, interest and efforts help any talent or skill to develop in us. The first step is the decision to develop the new skill that you intend to and to define it precisely to yourself. I would like to give my own example here as to how I developed my skill of blogging. Long time back when lot of people were already involved into blogging and used to share their thoughts, I used to feel very inferior to them because I didn't have the capability to put down my thoughts into right words. Then one fine day I decided that I must blog irrespective of my own comebacks and develop the blogging skill in me. Similarly in anyone before starting there's always a fear of lack of expertise. Expertise comes only after you've exercised your skill enough. So just accept the fear and move into action first. Once started practice must continue incessantly until one is satisfied of the degree of perfection developed. To do this there must be a commitment unto onself or a public one. I declared openly on facebook to my 500+ friends that I would be writing a blog a day and named it as ABAD commitment. As per the second step, once you declare what you would be doing publicly it always serves as a push on your subconscious mind because many conscious minds are aware because of your declaration. The third and final step is to keep practising consistently on a daily basis and innovating in every practice to make yourself better at the new skill which is an unending process limited to only your expectation and imagination.

I force myself to bring in a new concept into my blog everyday, include new vocabulary, new quotes, frame new similes and phrases and lots more. This is what keeps me also interested to do the same blogging everyday. As a result of my consistent practice for more than hundred days today I can write any blog within a matter of few minutes while I keep hearing that many others struggle for hours to put up one blog. Last but not the least results are very important. As a result of my blogging the output is nothing but blogs which are being read by lots of people all across the world because I displayed my talent as well. So while you are practising don't wait until you become perfect, keep showcasing whatever you practise to the outer world because recognition is one more source of motivation. I feel very happy that today people are taking print-outs of my blogs for reading and my articles are being published in online magazine. Also I received an e-mail from Mark Stuhlfaut(PhD),
Assistant professor in School of Journalism and Telecommunications, College of Communication and Information Studies at University of Kentucky after he read one of my blogs. You can just imagine the power of internet and the reach of my blog :)

I have shared my tips on how to develop and master a new skill or talent. Really appreciate if you can write back with your experience on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

10 minutes to type

I have just 10 minutes to finish this blog. What is the topic that I am gonna touch in this was a question in mind just 30 seconds back. So I made it the title of the blog. Like we have extempore in school where we pick up a chit and talk about the topic in that chit spontaneously, this is called instant blogging.

When I think of the content, I want to share what all happened today and especially the most important learnings that might help the reader to take back something from the blog. Gymming has been one of the profound passions of mine which I dint miss today. Arnold Shwarzenegger in his entire 15 years of career in bodybuilding has fallen sick only twice and that too just common cold. This was one of the most motivating points why I recommend work outs and exercises to people. Also one more advantage of this intant blogging is that I would pass on only really important points for life.

Just 4 minutes to go. Celebrations make your day memorable. Had a chance to cut a cake for my birthday today and was presented with a mega handmade greeting card by AASLESHA. Really awesome feeling to see that I have completed 25 years of my life and looking forward for more. Learnt one of the best things from my mentor "what you think you are, what you show you are and what people think you are must be in sync" - Sujit Lalwani.

Last minute to review the entire blog before posting.

Inspiration Unlimited!

It's been long friends since I wanted to share with you all, about our Venture and platform Inspiration Unlimited. Just covering this write up about the same.

Inspiration Unlimited is a vision, founded as an answer to the present scenario in the world. The need for training is higher than ever in every manner. Values have to be restored. This time the felicitous process is hammering. The values need to be hammered into masses & potentials incarcerated inside need to be brought out. The masses stand in need of training in some or the other form, right from school level to the level of CEOs.

As is rightly said, Any & every form of success has its root in training and then success stems from execution. IU believes in passing the right training in every arena of life, from personal development, to mental abilities, to staff training, to self motivation, to leadership, to sales training, to art of relationships, to training for teachers, to better parenting & lots more.

IU is backed up by the founder's profound experience of dealing with people from different occupation, places, age groups & different intellect levels. People eulogize his training & the kind of change it brings about in the participants. He has a spark in his speech that can bring a dead man alive. He has a practical approach & is not a speaker or trainer who has emerged from mere reading of a few books, as you find many such individuals in the market today.

Our vision is to empower masses to follow their heart & experience life of full potential. We envision to help everyone live, not just exist. We also believe in seeing a better world with human race in greater levels of harmony by converting peer pressure into peer pleasure.
