Don't brag if you cannot nail it

Actions speak louder than words. There is no way we can underestimate this statement. Only your actions can nail down things that you want to happen than just words about what shall happen. No matter how long you spoke in front of the wall it shall not break. The moment you take the hammer and bang it against the wall there will be an instant crack on the wall. Bottomline- only action can make things happen and not mere words. Bragging has become one of the best ways to showcase why one shall be a great person in the future. Mere bragging shall only live for the moment and die away as instantly as it originated.

Plans are always made much before the implementation. Sharing about your future plans is always fine but bragging about those is not a good idea, unless you're the decision-maker. People are unfortunately misled to believe that the world runs on their decisions while the person holding the reins is sitting somewhere else and watching the game. If you brag about something that shall happen from your side and you don't hold the key to make it happen, then obviously your bragging backfires at you. People are only going to lose belief in your words thenceforth. You must have the complete clarity about the time by when you shall deliver what you bragged about some time back. Unless that happens, you are just going to make fun about yourself in front of your audience. People shall remember your open commitments made on the stage and shall come back to ask for the delivery. It doesn't matter whether the commitments you made on the stage can impact these people or not. They are always with the hawk-eye to find out whether you will stand up to your bragging or not. Unless and until you have the complete control of the scenario there is no point in bragging. You have to be the person who can nail your commitment down and only then do you earn the rights for bragging. If the delivery is promised or controlled from someone else the better option is to be a step away from bragging.

In today's world people want to make you feel that you have the leadership to take decisions. It's only to make you feel that you are meant to carry a lot of responsibilities. The money is not transferred into your account until the banker signs the cheque no matter how much ever money he promises to transfer at your wish and will. The final control is in his hand to sign the cheque. One should not get under the assumption that people promising us freedom to shout will give the freedom to deliver the promise too. Ultimately the control shall lie in the hand that funds your plans and plans your actions. Beware about this hand behind your back before assuming that you are the hand. Don't brag if you aren't the hand to nail it.

The idea matters

Just few days back I had written a blog about executing the ideas and thoughts that come to our mind. After I wrote about how people tend to deviate away from work and don't execute what they think, I switched the frame of reference to those people who are always
thinking and simultaneously executing a lot of their plans. Then I realised that the execution of each and every idea that comes to the mind of such people is very difficult because ideas run a lot faster than execution. That is when I read a famous anecdote and concluded that execution is a must when the idea matters despite all constraints of time, money and human resources.

Once two people were travelling in a train. The second person was really awed by the persona carried by the first person. That is when the first person shared his vision with the second person to create an institution for science, technology and innovation. The result of this sharing of an idea was IISC- Indian Institute of Science, the second person was J.R.D.Tata while the first person was none other than Swami Vivekananda. This was the anecdote that completely took my thought to another higher level of perception. It's always not possible by us to execute each and every idea of ours due to different constraints. Sometimes people feel that they cannot share an idea of thiers with others because it might be stolen away from them and they might not get the credit. Other times people might also feel that without them doing the work by themselves first, they cannot ask or guide someone else to execute the idea. As a result of any of these confusions, finally the idea doesn't materialise into execution which is once again a loss for this world.

Once an idea comes to a person's mind which has the capacity to do good to the human society it must be executed. If the same person who got the idea cannot execute it either due to lack of prior experience or insufficient resources, it must be shared with people and for sure he shall find one person who will take the idea to the execution step. At the end of the day all that matters is execution of an idea which really matters to our world. Feel free to share your ideas about this blog on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Just execute it

Thoughts on our mind keep running all the time. Everytime there is something wrong happening, the right thing to have been done springs up in our mind. Everytime we feel something is not up to the mark, automatically the best way to execute comes to our mind. Our mind is always ready to give ideas to make things easier for us but what do we do? We plainly disrespect those noble thoughts and move on. We fail at the initial step of starting the execution itself.

Most of the times we underestimate our own capacity and feel that execution of what we just thought is far from our ability to implement. There are some cases when we feel that the idea is not practically implementable while in some we feel that we don't have the necessary resources to execute our thought into action. There are certain occasions when we fear to start executing because we feel that we might end up in negative consequences. Other times we just plainly let go off the thoughts without even putting an effort to write them down so that we can avoid further thinking about the same. I am very sure that you are able to recollect few of those occasions when you let go off your thoughts and ideas without even executing them due to any of the above reasons or any other reason of your own. There is a very simple solution to this problem. Without execution anyways you are not learning anything, better start executing the idea. Either you will complete the execution and reward your brain else at least you will learn as to why the idea can't be practically implemented. In either case you always have a winning edge of learning something new and upgrading your knowledge.

Many of us have these constraints of time and work pressure due to which we are unable to execute many ideas. At least on such occasions make it a point to note down those ideas which you feel are worthy executing. If not now sometime later you will have a chance to execute your ideas. Remember that your ideas come to you only because they belong to you. Do pour in the thought running in your mind about this blog in a written feedback on

No wonder you want what you want

We are stuck in this society which drives us crazy as often as possible. I am damn sure that you would have time and again faced the situations which are of not your choice. You desperately want something to happen and it always escapes away from you at just a hand distance. You can't let go off the desire of what you want. So once again you start running behind it. Leaving what you have and moving towards what you don't have is what is called as LIFE.

Each one of us is trying to structure out the unstructured web of thoughts and dreams in us. Each of us have a plan of how we should lead our lives. Each one of us have that amazing set of agendas on mind to execute. Unfortunately we get entangled in all other possible commitments before we even think of unwrapping the papers of dust covering our original ideas. Is it fear of not being able to execute all that we think that keeps us away from working on them or is it the immediate basic necessities of life that bind us from going away from working for them? As if it is not enough, upon these confusions come the conflict-solvers in the form of influences in our lives. Different people with different theories try to strategise our lives in the process of which we are completely lost in a complete new set of thoughts
which are once again influentially constructed. No wonder we enjoy them upto certain extent until the bug of idea caught in the web inside us starts screaching out.

This is the exact point where in you have crossed the 2 stages;
1 - I can't understand what's inside me and 2 - Even others can't understand what's inside me. That is when you learn that no one else apart from you can implement what you want and you go behind making it happen. That is when you realise that the last resort is you alone who can feel, realise, understand and implement what you want. That's why I say 'No wonder you want what you want'. So do let me know what you say on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Influx of ideas

As I keep writing blogs one after the other each one with a new idea and a new concept concealing a new thought, I just keep wondering as to how I am able to come up with such diverse topics. That is when the cocept of 'influx of ideas' flashed in my mind on which the current blog is all about. Influx means an arrival or entry of large number of people or things. So do you want to know how to create an influx of ideas in your brain? Here's the answer.

The target is what that decides your mode of action and planning. The better defined the target is the better and faster is your approach to accomplish it. Defining a deadline is even more important. All these settings for the target subconsciously set an alogorithm running on your brain that starts putting more number of brain cells into the thought process of completing the work at hand. More the number of neurons at work more the number of thoughts and ideas. Also repeating the same task having the same procedure might at times tire away the enthusiasm in us. Hence when the target itself is exciting enough to employ all your creative talents, it becomes even more easy for a variety of ideas to influx on your mind. Also make sure to remember that ideas that pass through our mind fail to get registered with our memory unless we write them down. Hence penning down your ideas is very important as well.

I have heard of this anecdote of how a coal turns into a diamond when sufficient high pressure is applied on it for a number of years. Similar to this when there's a pressure of completion on our mind it  automatically forces all the energy to divert our brain cells from thinking of distractions to giving birth to a variety of new ideas. Every idea deserves its value

It was around a couple of days back when I was conversing to a friend of mine that she told me that she could make french fries better than that at a outlet of a big giant restaurant. So I told her that she could get in work with that chain with her new recipe. She laughed saying that she was going to do MBA not to become a cook. Instantly I told her that MBA was all about implementing your idea, managing to plan a business out of it and administer it grow bigger and if her recipe was really good enough she could become a millionaire in a week. She responded that she didn't want to become a millionaire. Immediately I retorted that it wasn't she who chose to be a millionaire, it's the idea which deserves to earn a million dollar.

I have seen and heard many people who are very modest and humble but being humble and modest doesn't mean that you should give away valuable stuff at small prices. There is a significance of everything, every thought and every moment and each one of them must be provided the due respect and reward that they deserve. To go at a microscopic level as the title of this blog states, every idea deserves its value. How does one determine the value of an idea is immaterial as long as the idea is not implemented. Certain ideas enter certain minds in certain situations and nothing of these is a coincidence. Everything has a purpose behind its occurrence. Some ideas are just powerful enough to generate revenue for crores of masses. So, it doesn't mean that one starts feeling that s/he doesn't want or deserve the revenue that her/his idea can generate. The money that the idea can generate will also have to be reinvested to grow the idea bigger and to reach out more people.

If you have any idea on your mind just start implementing it at any small scale level possible instead of thinking how big or how small the idea is. No idea can be measured as long as it's in your mind because it is just a thought which doesn't have any dimensions. The impact of any idea can be measured only after implementing it. Remember that God has blessed this idea upon you so that you can do justice to it bereft of your emotions or desires.I will be very happy if you let me know if I can be helpful in any way for your idea on is.mohanbn@gmail.com

Standards! Do they affect you?

In one of my conversations with a friend last night, she asked me whether her poems and proverbs were good enough to be published. Immediately I replied back saying that it doesn't matter whether they are good or bad as long as you want to publish them. Friends! let me reassure you that even garbage sells. Why do we have so many doubts against our own creations? It's all because of the set standards for anything we do that block us from surpassing them.

People have assumed certain standards for anything and everything that they are involved in. There is a certain set standard to wear clothes to a party or office or social gathering. There are standards for eating as well, in fact even to hold a fork. There are different standards of speaking english language for that matter. There is a specific way to convene a board meeting. People have a built-in perception that something really big, best and famous should be in the exact form that they imagine and if anyone else is doing the same level of impact but in a different form, it's difficult for people to accept. Friends! please get rid of all such unwritten rules that clog your mind from conveying our thoughts and ideas.

Right at the beginning of evolution of homo-sapiens species everyone of us were mere monkeys. Man evolved over the years and started following certain norms that eventually became standards for others to follow as they were more convenient and acceptable by a large number. If you can perform anything that you like to perform in the best way that it doesn't hurt the feelings of others and is neat in presentation that large number of people can view and validate it right then that's the best standard. No doubt that 'To err is human', you are bound to make mistakes. Just get rid of the fear of making mistakes and failing in front of the people's eyes. Be ready to learn from them and move on with your journey. All standards will get fulfilled in due course or perhaps you might be the next standard-setter. No need to convince all

Every new idea is first ignored, ridiculed and then accepted. There is not even a single philosophy in the world which has been accepted and followed by all 700 crore plus population on this earth. In fact there is a rule itself which says "Every rule has an exception". There
is not even a single system of governance which has been implemented by all countries/states. Still the world runs fine.

There has been a big invisible barrier on the innovative mind that blocks it to think further the moment it sees rejection of its thoughts by a few people around. Everyone on this planet has the best ideas to make this world a better place. Unfortunately all do not have the same ideas and even if some set of people have the same ideas, they are in different parts of the world unknown to each other. In such a scenario, clashes and arguments are bound to happen among people of different schools of thought and no doubt that these will filter out the best ideas for our future. Its a pity to see that today's youth has been pampered so much with all their wishes that a simple rejection of their thought or idea hurts them badly. Hence they are hiding all the information and ideas within themselves with the fear of being unable to convince everyone who doubt their thoughts. Friends! you have to accept that you will be unable to convince all because some won't accept the same what you accept either out of difference of opinions or ego or plain ignorance.

You are born on this earth to convey and pass on a message that you are convinced about that will do good to the world. Like death is a sure fact that we have accepted, accept that rejection of your ideas is also a normal sure-shot fact. You don't have to argue with anyone to convince them and make them accept your point. Keep informing everyone about your idea. Some will reject, some will ignore, some will ridicule while there will be a set of people who will accept your idea. Keep building this circle of acceptance by spreading your idea among lot of people and simultaneously keep implementing your idea as well. Some years down the lane, you need not speak of your idea, the work itself will stand as a proof and convince everyone.
