The biggest wrong lesson that you learnt in your 1ST standard

I dont think there exists anyone on this earth who has done his first standard and doesn't know about the famous story of animalkind wherein a race was set between a fast and furious rabbit and a slow and steady tortoise. Neither me nor you know where the race was set? who set up the race between these 2 animals? for how long the race happened? but still each one of us have been taught either by our teachers or elders the moral of this race story as "SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE" at one point or the other in our lives.

As soon as the race began, the rabbit sped miles ahead of the tortoise who was struggling hard to run carrying his heavy shell on his back. As rabbit saw that the tortoise was way behind him, he thought of taking a power nap before reaching the finishing line. The tortoise kept putting its efforts, surpassed the sleeping rabbit and reached the finishing red ribbon and won the race.

Folks! Only if the rabbit had not slept in between the race there would not have been even 0.000000000001% probability of tortoise winning the race by running faster than the rabbit. Was the rabbit foolish enough to sleep during a race? I am not sure about the answer but if the rabbit was really serious about winning the race it would not even have paused to take a deep breath. Logically a tortoise can never run as fast as a rabbit or even think of beating it in a running race. We all know this.

The biggest mistake made here was putting the strength of one animal against the weakness of the another animal in a challenge. Had the case been a race between 2 rabbits or between 2 turtles the moral would never have been 'slow and steady wins the race'. Inturn it would have been 'fast and furious wins the race'. Likewise friends beware! Most of us make the mistake of comparing our weaknesses with someone else's strengths and feel inferior or the other way ie, we start comparing our strengths with someone else's  weaknesses  and feel superior.

As my birthday-mate(Albert Einstein) rightly said "If you expected a fish to climb a tree, it would think of itself as a failure all its life", lets not make the same mistake and learn the wrong lesson which we did in our first standard. Rather lets get back on track to weaken our weaknesses and strengthen our strengths.

A tribute to Super Believer

First time I saw this 22-year young guy was in a business meeting which was attended by more than 100 people. He came half-way through to take on the stage. With a wide smile on his face, he took the stage with a 10k worth Swatch on his left wrist and cream coloured suit amidst the whistles, claps and roars of the young folks in the hall. I felt a wild sense of connectivity between me and him but dint know what was it exactly for which I am still searching the answer.

He was childish but at the same time made some really awakening statements sandwiched between jokes and laughs. I was not at all interested in what he was speaking but wanted to learn the way he was speaking while the audience was enthralled in the speech. I thought of meeting him after the 4-hour long presentation but dint get a chance even to shake hand.

Within next 2 days, I attended a workshop which was taken up by the same very gentleman. Got not just a handshake but a hug as well. As the calendar flipped through the months, I got more chances of meeting this inspirational speaker who was just 1 month elder to me in age but million times in knowledge and experience. No wonder, I was awed by the same. Followed his advice and suggestions with the highest sincerity during our journey in the same business. I saw a live example of an individual who was all-positive, all-time hardworking with all fields' awareness. For sometime I couldnt believe that he was really just a normal human being born on earth.

During the 2nd phase of our co-existence, I have had the best of the fights, misunderstandings with the same very man who has mentored thousands of people. There were long periods of silence and cold war between me and this person whom people regard as a YOUNG SUPERSTAR and inspiration. I still dont have answer to the question whether to blame myself or the situation or my mentor. But the best character shown by this speaker was to meet me up after every period of misunderstanding and clarify the issues face-to-face when there was no need for him to substantiate his actions or words infront of an ordinary person like me. I just cant fail noticing his egolessness in this case.

Every meeting I had with this young poet, I learnt something new might be in terms of knowledge or the way of communication. As he says in his own words "I am the best person you can find who is a combination of practicality and philosophy" he stood by this statement all through his work. Every topic he spoke about had numerous reasons behind it. He would pass the best lessons of life through the silliest chats we had. This blogger's passion for innumerable things used to confuse me if all this was really possible to achieve in one life.

During the 3rd phase of our relation he started to prove that not even a single idea he had spoken about had he not done enough homework on it. One by one, the new chapters opened few of which I was a part of but withdrew in between. One of the best experiences of going through my own evaluation against my own set principles happened in one of these chapters. I would really thank this upcoming author for the same.

                                

Well this writing of mine is the start of my new set goals - ABAD - A Blog a Day. As I take the first step I wanted to express my gratitude to this person whom I have referred as guy, man, gentleman, poet, individual, person, mentor, author, blogger, speaker in the above context. Thanks a lot to this supreme believer of God, supreme believer in the talent of people, supreme believer of his own and others' smallest of the ideas, supreme believer of inspiration and positivity, the one and only - "jo kar de doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani; uska naam hai Sujit Lalwani!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A new terminology - LIKER

Hellooooooooo friends! Its been a long time since I transferred my thoughts into words on the blog. Tonight an amazing flow of thoughts in my mind was intrigued by a super amazing term which I heard for the first time in my life. The flow broke there immediately. It was this new word called "LIKER". Now you may want to ask me what does this word LIKER exactly mean? Well! here's the answer. I was actually thinking of writing a blog on Arnold Shwarzenegger who was very fond of Adolf Hitler. I was thinking of a name for it and this phrase struck my mind: 'A Tribute to the Liker of Hitler' as this sounded rhyming a bit too. Then the question mark stood up in my mind asking if there is any word in english called as LIKER? Side by side an exclamation mark also stood how would it be if such a word existed! I couldnt control my curiosity. I searched in google to verify the existence of such a word called LIKER. To my happiness it DINT. My face widened with a big smile and I decided to coin this new term called LIKER.

"One who loves is called a LOVER; one who likes is called a LIKER"

Often most of us are saddened by the fact that there arent much people who love us in this world at one or the other points in our lives. Also when it comes to the topic of relationships, you cant have more than one LOVER to be ethically and morally right. So list of lovers sounds as a limited edition to me. But not the same with the likers. Different people might like you for different attributes of yours. A stranger might never love you but he can like your overcoat while passing by. So this increases your likers list by one. I now understand why Mark Zuckerberg came up with the 'Like' button but not the 'Love' button in Facebook.

Someone likes your thoughts, someone likes your words, someone likes your actions, someone likes your dress, someone likes your smile, someone likes your muscles, someone likes your position, someone likes your house, someone likes your family,..... this list is never ending.

So my friends, even if you dont have a lover I can bet you have many likers in your life. A new term to cherish, share and be proud of ------------- LIKER

BEAUTY

First of all, all your other work should be kept in abeyance before reading this article. May be what i write may seem aberrant to you at first but later you will realise it's aesthetic value. In this world, where adulterated commodities rule the market leading to abstemious diets and more some people still find a way of enjoying life with what is available waiting and protesting for the negative perspective to abate. The intention of looking only at the negative face of everything needs to be admonished in order to ameliorate the extent of satisfaction in life. Develop an antipathy towards the attitude of spotting negative aspects of anomalous events. Negative thoughts disturbing the mind are analogous to anarchy in the country.

 

Though mention of flying vehicles in Mahabharatha may seem anachronistic to some people , it was a thought provoking idea for some scientific minds. This is the beauty of recognising the advantageous aspect of something. Its because of ambivalent people who make ambiguous decisions due to their lack of understanding that many problems arise. Still there is a chance of amalgamating all the positive aspects of a product to alleviate its performance and provide customer satisfaction. This is what i call as the beauty of optimism. People with alacrity appreciate the good aspects of everything & will surely aggregate more of happiness in life than the rest. Though it is not possible to completely abscond from the hurtful truths of life, people should make an attempt to reach the postive side of things. This is what beauty is all about more than physical one. This is the attitude that will make everyone's life

SIMPLE

People who can appease themselves in tense situations without others' help and yet appear simple in nature are quite interesting to write about. Sometimes during functions which are places of display of our richness some austere people show their asceticism whom I call as "simple" which is quite difficult to explain. Still the gaping of on-lookers doesn't attenuate their beliefs in anyway. These are the people who show their assiduous nature in work than showing off with yellow metal. They assuage their hunger for satisfaction in life through their arduous efforts in whatever they do. The apathy shown towards such kind of an attitude by some folks who are more interested in material wealth shows their disapprobation of such behaviour .

 

Most people who appropriate other men's wealth and aver false claims over it are not respected by the artless 'simple' people. These 'simple' people are audacious enough to challenge anykind of unlawful measures against common people. Post Independnce , India having an autonomous government requires such kind of beneficient people to apprise the common men of their Rights in order to fight against the folk whose smile belies their true nature. These 'simple' people who believe in serving than merely giving bombastic speeches also bolster the scientific world to work for the betterment of common men and help in washing away the banality of the present soceity.

INDEPENDENCE

"HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY" to all of you. August 15th marked the end of boorish rule of British and the burgeoning of dreams of free India. The Englishmen were so rude that Indian prisoners were made to burnish the shoes of jailers with their tongue. Some of the craven Indians also buttressed the unlawful policies made by the British for their personal gains. Coming to the celebration of our Independence Day, today in schools small children play musical instruments to celebrate the day of freedom. Though their tunes are cacophonous we need to appreciate their enthusiasm in celebrating the national festival. We need to praise the efforts of our freedom fighters who fought not only against British but also against the capricious , unfaithful men who betrayed their own country. These brave men underwent castigation during their struggle for freedom. Sepoy mutiny was one of the events that was the catalyst for the Freedom struggle. These soldiers called as sepoys were made to take the caustic remarks of the British army heads and also help them in their chicanery to divide and rule the country forcefully.

 

All these exploits of the British coagulated the hatred towards them in the indians' blood. This hatred bolstered the spirit to fight against foreigners which formed the coda of many patriotic songs. The cogent speeches made by national leaders increased the urge to fight against the foreigners even in the hearts of common men. I would like to mention in this compendium about freedom struggle that we should support our native products than becoming compliant to the use of foriegn goods to avoid them from taking over the market . Remember the British colonized India after coming for the sake of business. Our political leaders are being complaisant towards the students of India to prevent the Brain-drain. We should try to conciliate the families of freedom fighters through our actions rather than mere words. Inspite of all these efforts by our great national leaders the present situation of corruption in politics,poverty etc confounds us to think if we have really achieved independence. People tend to condone the mistakes committed by the ruling class. Let us strive for a better life of our countrymen.

TEACHER

Teacher is a person who influences our life to a very great extent. I was more interested in our teachers' digression during the classes especially in engineering because I felt that it taught us more about life. A dirge shown in a movie at a teacher's funeral stirred all the students into tears. A teacher always tries to disabuse his students about the concepts during the process of teaching. Some of the discordant concepts are explained with such an ease by experienced teachers. The discerning capability of a student is bolstered by a teacher. Even if some of the teachers are unable to satisfy us, we should not discredit or disparage them at once. We should still respect them because they are our teachers. Some of the difficult discrepancies cannot be solved without a teacher's help. We need to pose our questions in discrete amounts rather than burdening the teacher with a pile of doubts. Some of the disingenuous students misuse the freedom given by the teacher during class hours and as a result they will face punishment as the teacher is disinterested about any particular student.

 

A good teacher is one who dismisses our weakness and helps us to develop our disjointed thoughts into a constructive application. A teaher gives examples from disparate fields to make us understand a simple concept. I remember some of our teachers dissembling as some of the characters in a play while teaching about a drama lesson. Our teachers hold the responsibility of resolving the dissolution among some of the misled students and disseminate the ideals which will help us to improve in life. We need to heed to our teachers' advice when we are stuck in situations of dichotomy. Only when we shed our diffidence and explain clearly about our problem can the teacher help us. Rather than making diffuse talks about how bad our teachers are, we should stand in their shoes and think if we are able to do atleast 10% of what they do for us.
