Something will happen for sure

All of us were born tension-free into this world but as time goes by, we attach every type of tension around us and by the time we leave this planet we also leave behind a huge pile of worries and tensions. Fear of what will happen in the future is one of the most critical issues that's disturbing many souls around us. What will happen in the result? What will happen if there is a catastrophe? What will happen to me if my company shuts down?

Man has the unlimited ability to think out of the box whenever it comes to predicting the future. More than predicting the future it's more of the fear of the future that keeps talking in the person. No matter what we think or what we do, none of us have a complete control to what can happen in the future. We can try our best to make happen the best but we need to be aware that not always what we desire is what we deserve. Just because this probability of things turning out wrong can happen, we needn't worry about those things which turn out wrong. All that we need to know is that something will happen for sure. At least nothing will happen for sure if nothing else takes place. Man has to be prepared to face the unexpected. Life is a journey that brings every other day unexpected challenges only to make us stronger to face the life ahead.

Exam is a big worry for students while inflation is the biggest worry for a country. Recession is a big tension for final year students while food for the next day is the basic worry for a poor fellow. At the end of the day, each one of us want something from the future and the probability of it not happening often feeds imbalance into our minds and life. If we are able to console ourselves that something shall happen for sure and we can give our best to make something that's beneficial for us to happen as well, we can free our mind of tensions so that we can concentrate on what needs to be done at present.

Experience v/s Expertise

Experience and expertise are so much interconnected that it's not easy to understand them separately. In simple words they are just inseparable words. The dictionary says that experience means to just undergo an event or occurence and expertise means to be proficient at something such as a skill. However expertise itself is achieved by undergoing repeated experiences.

Every moment of our life is an experience for us. Breathing through our nose itself was a new experience when we were born. From the time we entered this world, we repeated this experience more than a billion times and today each one of you reading this blog are an expert at breathing and or I can say that you have the best expertise in breathing. If you ask yourself as to why you were breathing continuously, the answer would be that breathing was a necessity for surviving and you had to become an expert at it in order to survive. So, expertise was the necessity root cause for experience to occur recursively. Expertise is the root desire for repeated experiences and reduplicated experiences form the path towards achieving expertise. Every new experience is the first step of expertising that particular activity. You have to have numerous experiences of the same kind to expertise any field of experience.

People fall prey to wishes of becoming experts without executing the necessary actual repetitions. Just experiencing once doesn't make anyone perfect or an expert. Diverse experiences of the similar kind can only make an expert come out of us. Hence make it a point to undergo sufficient experiences related to your goal to become an expert at accomplishing it. Reputation is Temporary

All of us want name, fame and reputation(though all three mean the same, I still want to emphasize on the size of desire in us for these) . We want people to know us, adore us and respect us. We like and love to be in the limelight. Probably some of my dear readers might be nodding their head sideways disagreeing with the want, still its a human instinct to seek attention, credit and recognition. Some might not desire for reputation but will definitely not mind a bit if they gain some. Let's dig deep into one more quote from the book 'Life Simplified!' by Sujit Lalwani, a pro in sales and marketing and the master of networking.

Each one of us are working in our streams contributing something or the other towards the world around us. Some work harder while some work smarter. At the end of the day when it comes to return for the efforts we have put in, it's always either in the form of cash or kind. Cash is a complete monetary aspect which we won't touch in the current blog. Coming to the 'kind' it might be some kind of a honorary gift or a reward or a momento. When the number of these rewards start increasing, the name of the person shall start spreading to more number of tongues and in recommendations of the required type. As more and more of such occasions repeat where the person is being referred to among large audience definitely the image of the person grows in the eyes of the people and this is what reputation is all about. Most of us seek this kind of a special attention
where in we expect that  people should recognise us wherever we go because our name should have reached the place before us.

Just like how a human life is mortal, even the reputation is short-lived which is built just around us and not around our work. Reputation that symbolises only a person is as alive as the person is. The moment the person ceases to exist on the planet even the reputation vanishes. In fact the reputation that we try to build is so fragile that it breaks away with a simple misunderstanding. It is just like trying to build a monument out of the softest glass on this earth. Hence the author suggests one not to run behind something that itself doesn't have any value. How to become multilingual?

Whenever anyone asks me as to what do I do, I reply saying that I am a multilingual inspirational speaker. I add the tag of being 'multilingual' right in front of my profession. In fact, I even remember that during my interview for a job, the interviewer was questioning me continuously for twenty minutes and not even once did he look at me. But the moment I answered for one of his questions that I could speak 5 languages, he immediately looked at me and I was sure that I had landed in the job which duly happened as well. While leaving my job after 3 years, my manager also mentioned to me that it was this ability to speak 5 languages that he remembered which I had told about myself to him about 3 years back.

There are many such incidents like the above which have motivated me to come up with this blog. In fact I plan to write a book on the same lines as well of which you can have a copy in sometime soon. Just before starting off with the book, I wanted to share some sample lessons from my journey of having developed the ability to communicate with people in 6 different languages and here they go;

1.Desire to talk
This is the foundation if you really want to be a multilingual speaker. If you want to be a writer who can read/write multiple languages, probably you can do it with silence. You must be willing to talk on any random topic with any random person in any random location. This randomness is what that will build the field for your trial and errors while learning a new language. The more you expand this field the more expertise you achieve in developing your linguistic skills. Start talking to more number of people from diverse backgrounds on different topics wherever you find a homo-sapien. Your language teachers will be few among these audience.

2.Persevere the practice
As a baby learns to spell letters and words first time in school through repeating and rewriting, likewise you will have to repeat and rehearse whatever new word or sentence that you learn in a new language. Many give up in the middle because they find themselves forgetting the recently learned words and sentences in the new language. There is no harm in learning it again if your forget once or a million times. Just keep your perseverance going until every new word/sentence that you learn in the new language gets registered in your subconscious mind which you can utter even while you're asleep.

3.Deliver without inhibitions
Oftentimes, in such occasions of learning new language we end up at the receiving end of tantrums and comments from friends, family and colleagues. These negative comments build a barrier avoiding us from moving forward to continue our practice. Just shed all such inhibitions. No one in this world was born perfect knowing everything. Everyone learned step by step and became what they became. Consider yourself as a child who has started an expedition towards being multilingual. A child can make umpteen mistakes until it learns and so can you. Just keep delivering your talks in the language you wish to and soon you will see yourself getting better and better day by day and the target to be multilingual doesn't stay far.
