Food habits

I have heard it from many people that we are what we eat. Food is one of the most important basic necessities of man. Today millions of people around the globe are unable to reach out to this basic necessity of life and many are dying due to the lack of the same. Food is a saviour of our lives but unfortunately today it's disgusting to see that food is becoming responsible for different kinds of disorders in people and eventually affecting their health and life.

The reason that the sacred food is seeming to be disastrous to lives of people is because of the bad food habits that many of us are carrying. Obesity and diabetes have become so rampant with many people today because of their dirty food habits and even due to lack of physical exercise habits. It's a sad scene to see that people are replacing simple, pure and clean drinking water with aerated drinks for drinking purposes. Fried items with heavy oil content have become the trend in the fast food restaurants. There is no intake of balanced food by majority of the people. High calorie content in the food is leading to every other type of disorder in people today. Cleaning of vegetables and fruits is taking away most of the nutrients along with all the pesticides sprayed on them and as a result there is not much nutritional value added to what we intake nowadays.

Hrithik Roshan, a very famous Bollywood actor said in an interview that when he wanted to get back in shape for his movie Krissh3, he googled out to find the best trainer and that trainer taught him about the best diet that is tasty as well as fulfilling and equally best for health during the bodybuilding routine. There are so many bodybuilders in India itself who could have trained Hrithik Roshan because bodybuilding is the field that teaches you the best regarding physical health by instructing on proper food habits, sleep and exercises. It's my vision to help lot of bodybuilders to reach out to every person in our surroundings and guide them towards good health and hence have a healthy nation. 36Meals.Com Presents EPC - Empty Plate Campaign!

EPC - Empty Plate Campaign
36meals is an NGO which aims at eliminating hunger from the world. We believe in the tagline - "FOOD NOT WASTED IS FOOD CREATED". while having breakfast/lunch/dinner, some people tend to leave a bit of food in their plates. If such left-overs are summed up for a period of 10 days, they can form one complete meal and hence a meal gets wasted.

The main thing that 36meals advocates for is preventing wastage of food, as we believe that it's a way to contribute towards the lives of those sleeping with the pain of hunger. It's definitely not the sufficient step, but a necessary one for sure. It's not the complete act of being able to do something for them, but definitely the first step. As the chinese saying goes "A journey of 1000 Miles begins with the first step!"
To take this mission forward, we are coming up with a novel campaign called as 'Empty Plate Campaign'. Every individual taking part in this campaign just needs to make sure his/her plate is empty at the end of the meal as shown in the picture. S/he just needs to click a picture of this empty plate and upload it on 36meals FB page or any other social media channels, he or she is a part of.
EPC - Empty Plate Campaign is a very simple concept that aims to make sure there are enough number of empty plates at the end of meals so that no little left-overs are wasted. Only when we consume completely what we gets served on our plates, that we understand how much we can consume.
We have seen time and again, that a lot of people leave food in their plates either because they serve themselves too much, or they dislike the taste. Either of the reasons just lead to wastage of more food and nothing else. Just give a moment of thought to this: While on one side of the world, there are people who have the pleasure of making a choice of type and quantity of food, the other side has neither choices nor food.
Hence, we feel it becomes our moral responsibility, to make sure that we consume right, in order to protect the right to consume, of someone else. It's more than a duty for all of us, to spread this awareness of not wasting food, in every manner we can. EPC is one possible means to SHOUT THIS to the world.
Social media has been a platform to express oneself and connect to the world. Let's use this to spread the awareness for social change. Let's contribute our bit that can save millions from sleeping hungry. Can we count on YOU? We believe - Definitely YES!

All you have to do is to follow 3 simple steps;
Step 1:- Make sure there are no leftovers on your plate after your meal on 23rd, 24th Of march.

To find space in a woman's heart

Love is such a simple yet a profound concept. It's a feeling, it's an emotion which has taken the highest number of votes in the democracy of emotions and feelings. When it comes to love between two souls it has been statistically proven that it's males in most of the cases who propose their love for the lady with whom they dream of their future. I am not sure if any business proposal would be more important and difficult than this proposal of life itself. Let's see how our hero finds space in his woman's heart.

Love is all about occupying a part of the being of the other person and moreover it's about finding or discovering the space for oneself in the other person's heart. We can remember so many people in our brain because that's the duty of the brain to act as memory storage but we cannot calculate the love for each because brain doesn't have this facility. It's only the heart which has the exclusive property of storing unlimited love and there is where the guy has to step in. In one of the interviews of Shah Rukh Khan, the King Khan of Bollywood who is very famous for being a great romantic hero, he mentioned that he is able to showcase romance so well in the movie only because he works on finding the space for himself in the heroine's heart. This is what makes even the heroines very comfortable to romance him in movies. I felt that it was totally true hearing these words of his. Every guy out there has to understand to find space in his woman's heart if he is planning to propose her.

It's a known proverb that the route to a man's heart is through his stomach because men are more satisfied with food than anything else but it's not the same case with women. They are just special creations of God. I can clearly understand the trouble of all those guys who are struggling to find a space in the woman's heart of their choice being a guy myself. Don't give up guys, keep trying because she is just waiting for you to find out the right way and I clearly know that the lady reading this blog is smiling now. I try to find space in the hearts of my readers who can write their reviews on

Food donated is hunger killed

Food, clothing and shelter are three basic necessities of life. Everyone of us on this earth are struggling through life to fulfil these three constraints of life. Be it a multi millionaire or a person who earns every meal of his day on that day, no doubt that all of us are in a pursuit to satisfy our basic needs and probably man could have survived even without clothing and shelter but not food for sure. This is the reason food stands at the top of the priority list. It was indeed a great eventful day today when a group of youth woke up to a social call on a Sunday morning when most of the rest were enjoying their cozy sleep on a weekend.

A group of twenty youths studying in different courses and young professionals working in different MNCs got together this morning to be a part of an exciting event of meals donation. I was glad and surprised to be a part of this super happening. This was not just a normal meals donation in an orphanage or an old age home where you just go, donate and feel satisfied for doing the good deed. Today's generation looks for adventure in everything and that is what exactly happened. There were twenty enthusiastic Indians who were grouped into ten teams of two each and were asked to explore random areas of Bangalore, find the needy people in that area and serve them meals as an initiative of IU cares under the banner of 36meals.com. The best part was that people had to take buses to new places. Also this entire task had to be completed within just 120 minutes.

After the entire adventuristic task people came to share their feelings and experience of donating meals. We search around different places to buy things for us but this was the first time for many of us when we searched for someone who needed our service. It was a sense of accomplishment after we had killed the hunger of close to hundred genuinely needy people. It was a reinforcement in us that good deeds can be done in an enjoyable way and that's why I feel that I want to share this event with all of you. An amazing feeling to see a hunger free world set in all of us today. Are you also with us to make this dream realise into reality???
